In addition to being super cool, the map is pretty and seems balanced. I wonder if the high-ground natural makes it too easy to expand, but at the same time, I do like fast expands. I like the spiral-expanding layout, where you expand sort of away from your opponent if you go clockwise. This is a 2-spawn map that in a way, feels like a 4 spawn map. The xel naga towers and elevation changes in the midfield make the play tactical and make tank pushes stronger but also more dangerous if you're near a high ground. The fact that the towers are on low-ground areas NEAR high-ground areas makes things interesting, and causes some tower-hugging with tank armies. Due to the broad and numerous ramps into the later expansions, the fact that they're on the high ground isn't an imbalancing factor. Overall, I have no major criticism of this map. It's tactically very fun and makes for interesting, bracing TvTs with its many ground routes and complicated elevation changes. I kind of wish I had a zerg or protoss partner on KR, so all I can comment on is TvT. Good luck! http://drop.sc/48360 | ||

Castle in the Sky is such an awesome movie, I think it's cool having a map that's name reminds me of it. That being said, I also really like the name Hanging Gardens. Regardless of the name, I really want to play on this map, please upload to NA! (Also, I feel like getting a third on this map would be super difficult vZ, so I'm not sure I like that aspect of the map, but I haven't play it yet...) | ||
