Icculus, it's normal that hosting in commentator mode means that nobody will join the game b y selecting it from the public game list? This feature is supposed to be for private hosting only? Nobody ever enters my lobby when I do this, so I am pretty sure that this is the case.
So I'll ask if there are any plans or alternatives to this, so that I can simply commentate in the pub ob games. I used to do it in the old peepmode using the standard in-game voice chat which it seems no longer works. I tested it out pretty thoroughly with many users today (cloud kingdom) and none of us could hear a single person, and we all went through the steps of making sure everything was setup right. Anyway, people loved it when I would commentate, and I loved adding that entertainment to the games. Help?
BTW awesome map, thank you!

TuynmaN: First, spamming is not necessary or appreciated. Second, when I tried to do that exact thing a few weeks ago I got several *angry* emails almost immediately so I'm not going to do it again. If you want it to change, petition players to vote on a different Match Mode in-game.
Lumi: Sounds like you don't quite have a grasp on how crappy the Blizzard lobby situation is. Unfortunately I cannot control any of that. I'm really hoping Blizzard will address many of these issues in future patches (especially the next Arcade patch). I can't control voice chat either, so I have no idea what's going on there. I'd recommend using Skype or other VoIP software to communicate with others during a game. In essence, if you want to stream/commentate and you don't have players lined up for invitation to a Commentator Mode lobby that you setup, then you'll need to go to the normal 1v1 Obs Map of the Day and just do the best you can given the limitations of non-Commentator Mode.

Please, don't vote up Bel'Shir beach, this map is terrible, ugly, non ladder. Thanks <3

First time posting so I will make this brief. I've been frequenting the 1v1 obs before it was peepmode and now that this wonderful (100% better than the original) game has reared its mighty sword I think its the best one around. However, I have noticed lately that it is getting harder and harder to win against some players. I check their profiles after the game and it says master, diamond (which I am in), but mostly platinum or gold. I normally wouldn't mind losing because I use peepmode as a way to try out new strategies, but there is something different about these loses.
If you look at their peepmode rating and win-rate they are all at 100% in upwards of 900 wins (usually around 300-400, but still 100%). I honestly think that someone has either hacked the game (I do not know if this is even possible?); or someone who has a hackbot is trolling the game. This is not only one person either, I've counted 7 total different accounts just yesterday with astronomical win-rates.
Is there anyway to check for this on your end? Or improve the game so maphacks do not work? Or is that pretty much just left up to Blizzard?

Will this be avaliable in SEA server?

There's a way for people to disconnect from the game just before losing so that they don't actually take a loss on their record. I saw it happen once and it creates this really weird situation where the game thinks that the player is still in it, yet his units and buildings don't spawn, so it's just one player on an otherwise empty map. It's really strange.

But it would still take quite a while to get 400-900 wins as a platinum/gold player if ever able to do it. I just don't understand it. I did play one of them, and he harassed me for 6 games afterwards with 4 different accounts, all of which had the 100% in the hundreds of wins. I noticed that each time he played me he had a perfect counter for whatever I did and even stopped moving a scv up a ramp and block my natural because he 'saw' my drone coming from my base to my natural (without having vision). That is why I just assumed some kind of maphack.

Is there a channel where players can go to find games?
|
ESV Vicious by ProdiG has been added to the map pool and will be featured as Map of the Day tomorrow
Konranjyoutai: This is the first I've heard of this. Unless I encounter those players in an actual game I don't know what's going on. It may be possible to hack the bank, but very difficult (depending on if Blizzard's Banks are truly secure or not).
KDrake: The situation you describe is not quite related but is also a rare bug. If someone disconnects during a match, it will register as a loss in their bank file. When you start a match, your bank is updated to say that you lost the match...only when you actually get to a win does it write a win to your bank file. However, since banks are stored locally, one can always just keep using a backed-up version to replace new version in case of a loss. You'd think Blizz would have stored this server-side...sigh.
Lousy!: Due to crappy bnet lobby system, this is not possible
Mercy13: Try "peepmode" chat channel
Flying Banana: PeepMode has always been available on SEA. Map of the Day is NA/EU only, however.

MAP POOL UPDATE - Frigid Pass added - Metalopolis removed - Entombed Valley removed
The removed maps mean you may have votes freed up at www.peepmode.com/maps so go and vote on your favorites!
I'm experimenting with limiting the maximum players on Map of the Day to 10 to see if that mitigates lag on average.

Me and few mine friends have 10-15fps there (unplayable), so basically when its Metropolis day, we cant play. Im sure many other people have same issues

Hmm, I wasn't aware of a specific issue with Metropolis; I watched several games with no issues after publishing. If this is a widespread occurrence I can talk to the mapmaker to see if he has any ideas since I don't treat maps any differently when implementing PeepMode on them.

It's a 'known' issue with the map, which is why Blizzard has removed it from ladder.

Okay got up to speed on this. Basically I think the best thing is just remove it from the map pool at this point until Blizz fixes. Any opposed?

Is there any way to view spectator chats?
|
Metropolis has been removed from map pool. Votes on it were reset, so you may have a free vote at peepmode.com/maps now
HEYALEX: To see spectator chat in real-time, the spectators must vote via Options (F9) to enable that. Otherwise, you can look at the Chat Log (F11) after a match to review spectator comments made during your match.
I'd like to ask a favor: I switched up how the Reveal mechanic works in the Map of the Day so it only shares vision of structures instead of all units (I know, I know - it's still not quite right, but it's the best I can do right now). Could folks try to get into situations where you let yourself get revealed to test this out? If you find issues, please send replays to peepmode at gmail. Thanks I appreciate it.

I tried watching a replay of a game I played in peepmode, and it was unwatchable. The fps went to 0 every 5 seconds throughout the game. I had no fps problems while actually playing it.
