I prefer to use Meinhoff white sand for the beach, i feel it makes a better effect. Check my map The Starparty V.
I feel that the central XelNaga Tower controls too much the space leading to you own expands. Counter attacks Could be quite hard to pull off once you control this tower.

I used xil sand, xil dirt, meinhoff sand.

Looks interesting. The aesthetics are beautiful, nice job!

I'm concerned that there are only 4 bases per player. Its going to make it very difficult for Zerg because they can't out-expand the opponent. The 4th expansion looks very hard to hold too, since it is very open and close to the opponent.

I would prefer if you added an expansion in the bottom left and top right corners, but only put one entrance to it from the middle. That way it will be easier to get a macro game and expand in ZvP or ZvT.

I realize that it is supposed to be a more aggressive style map, with a short rush distance and few bases. I think the balance would be improved by adding one more expo, it could be 2 gas or 1 gas.

I would prefer a little larger middle area/map.

I love the aesthetics though. Very nice. I'm very curious to see this in action.

This map is beautiful. The islands in the middle look great, and the light ground textures also are nice -- it creates good contrast with units, making watching a match easier and nicer.

I can't comment much as a player, as I lack talent... but I do like that cliff+ramp between the main and the natural.

I really like this map. Well done, and thank you for showing us it.

The texturing gave me a nerdgasm. SERIOUSLY, WHOEVER DID THE TEXTURING NEEDS TO GO WORK FOR BLIZZARD RIGHT NOW OMGWTF GO! NOW!

Balance: Pretty damn good. EG: Xel'Naga Caverns quality.

It looks like a 3 base turtlefest for both players, which is fine but it seems hard for players to get any additional expansions after that. I think another base for both players is needed, but where would you put that expansion is the hard part.

Absolutely love the reflection of the trees off the shallow water ... so beauiful its a piece of art.

I agree that it needs another base per person. I think the best thing to do would be to have the two center most islands with bases on top (maybe golds) and a ramp from each leading to the players ( like arakan citadel or dig site). You'd just have to move the trees to around the edges of the islands(please don't remove them.. love them).

This is a beautiful map, but I agree with monitor and prodiG that there needs to be more expansions. The natural looks difficult to hold and might need an easier way to wall off. Right now Zerg would appear to be at a disadvantage against the other races. Could you show an example of how a Terran player would wall off the natural? Also, I do not understand your logic with the center XWT. I feel as though it is unimportant and would not affect gameplay if it were to be removed and that center passageway would be blocked off.

But seriously this map is really beautiful!

I don't think you need 3 watchtowers on this map, especially in such close proximity. I suggest either removing the central one or both of the outer towers. I also think an additional expo would be nice, and personally I think the best location would be something like this;

I might also be tempted to make the two big areas of high ground in the middle a bit smaller, attacking through the central path beyond the early game could be a very bad idea, and players have to travel very far around these big high ground areas.

Also, the texturing is quite nice but there are still areas I think can be improved, most notably the dirt -> sand blending in the mains.

And although I agree that more expansions would be nice, with the way the metagame is..
Also putting in expansions in the suggested areas would make it look way cramped IMO. But I'm no mapmaker
now run into the setting sun, and suffer, but don't mess up your hair.
