I'll make a real model - enlarge those balls, make segments bigger - and I think the Colossus' head would fit perfectly... (And you guess which portrait it'll use. ;x)
Now... Is there a reliable m3 converter to Blender? It seems that the best is for 3dsmax and it's shareware... :|

i tried my hand at making a reaver model the other night. i had something i liked but there is no exporter for blender so i can't use it. will be trying 3dsmax tonight

Also is it possible to see what it looks like with a collosus head?
it's been many many many years since i've used 3d studio max. still trying to remember half the basic stuff. so maybe. not right now tho.
it's also being completely retarded. i can't save my model. opening it later causes it to be garbled and all over the place. re-importing for some reason causes none of the animations to no longer work. rawr
Ok So I think we all agree that we want a new model for the reaver And we like shiny things ("Orb" at the back of d reaver) But it needs a mustache What is next?

dont speak for everyona, I like mavericks model without the orb best so far
so i resolved my issues after remaking the thing like 10 times. i was forgetting to detach the models from the bones so upon reloading it would position them segments according to the bones which... just wasn't right. anyway.
heres my first attempt at making a "Walk" animation for it. tried to replicate the sluggish appearance of the segments moving 1 at a time to move it forward. it's tricky getting the speed of the animation correct however. but here it is for now.

Pretty good! I feel like the movement should be similar to a caterpillar. The reaver shouldn't slide. Only sections that are lifted should move forward. Check out how the contraction propagates along the length of the organism:
I think that there are too many sentries in the front, and it is too horny, as Archerofaiur said. These are my only complaints with this model. Definitely a great job.
Could you tell me how did you made the bones (the animation, in fact)? I have a model with the Colossus' head (and those balls) and I don't know how to animate...
