I don't care if the other guy MHs, really. I just won't game him again if he finds out. And since I know most of the people I game, I don't get that problem.

For a frame of reference, pgt was one on one only.

as it is, i would still prefer melee mode because a lot of the fun in ladders at the average level is showing off your cool wins to your friends or showing them losses asking for advice. also, what if the players have mannered observers? lessened security but more trust and freedom seems like it would help the ladder overall, since the accumulation of little turnoffs and annoyances are what in the end make many people quit playing, not the game itself. the downside is that (i'm not sure about this, but maybe quite) a bit more stress and need for moderation will be placed on the administrators. a sensible course of action could be to at first use one-on-one mode until the early stages of hectic organization are sorted out, and then begin to implement melee mode and user conveniences once everything has settled down. of course if there are massive differences in security and ability to abuse i would vote one-on-one, but i am not aware of any.

However the best solution would be to bring back slot maker as I think a lot of people have been missing that anyway.
