Neo Abattoir should be played in Melee, not Top vs Bottom. Seems like lots of potential players can easily be dropped due to the unfair map. Siege tanks own neighbors on the map, and it is better to do Melee and have people say "Left" or "Right."

This sounds totally stoking.
Many great ideas for matches etc..
like 4v4 w/ 2 comp allies.. lol.

This seems like a lot of "best of starcraft" matches - where theres a little bit of each, like 1:1, FFA, 4v4 and capture the flag etc.. kinda like celebrating SC and it's different varieties of matches.
I think there was a Team melee match too?

but ya - however, I think some of these matches are going to be based a lot on luck and timing etc - not so much the skill of the players (although that of course will be a factor, as a D player couldn't compete in the same sense as a B player) but like the matches w/ comp allies and capture the flag etc.. is all about timing and tactics.

but ya - all these beta contests seem pimp. I like the hero-contest etc.

Well I think the general idea here is that skill should not necessarily be the deciding factor. If that was the case they'd just host 1v1 tournaments and all the keys would be snatched by the top foreginers. By doing it like this they're trying to give everyone a fair shot at it.

Yes, that's the second point - if we hosted 1v1 tournaments we might as well be like "Hi Ret/IdrA/NonY/IeFnaiJ do you guys need some beta keys?".

i have a question? what about those of us with lag problems when in a game with more than one player? i went through port forwarding and everything and it didn't really work.

The winner will be just determined semi randomly IMO - it mostly depends on allies, and then ends with an FFA game. But it's still better than a 1v1 tourney that would be dominate by some progamer smurf.

It's not the same as muta-micro, so don't worry. I think that refers to a bug where you burrow zerg units and then unburrow them in a way that makes them stacked permanently. Hm, either that or the worker-permastack.

You should make sure that you have it fixed before playing. I know back in the day I was forced to set my computer to some kind of DMZ setting with the old router (I'm a tech fish so this may sound stupid, but the option was called DMZ and basically opened all ports iirc), to play SC.
