While he didn't have a standing army large enough to 100% assure a victory, the enlistment of several SCVs easily remedied that problem.

Edit: it's like if Flash counted his GoMtv Star Invitational win in 2008 as a legitimate league title. None of his fans do.

He isn't particularly dominant in the early rounds of Code S compared to players like Life and Taeja because of the short-match, multiple-opponent format. Similarly, Mvp was pretty lackluster in teamleagues and 2-3 day foreign tournaments; players like Taeja, capable of taking whatever is thrown at him, excel in such situations. Mvp really shines in the later rounds of Code S, where his vast repertoire, excellent preparation, and perseverance are most important. Life is good, but this is Mvp's format. Mvp 4-1 Life Mvp is lackluster in tournaments with no preparation? He has won MLG, IEM, WCG and Blizzcon. Hell, he even fought his way through the open bracket at MLG Providence to finish 4th despite the disadvantage of not being seeded into the tournament. All of these tournaments were 2-3 day tournaments. You're right, he's totally better when he can prepare, but he is still very good when he can't. The fact that Mvp is somehow bad in tournaments with no preparation is a MYTH. Yeah he didn't do well in a few tournaments he went to in early 2012, but who does well in every tournament he goes to? Can't think of any.

TLPD and Liquipedia only show that he's won Code S three times, not 4. Counting the 2011 World Championship as a GSL win seems misleading. It was an "event where a team of all-stars from South Korea take on top players from Europe." I know it was based on GSL points, but it was a special event. They count Fruitdealer, Nestea and MC's Open Season wins, Polt's Super Tournament win, and MMA's Blizzard Cup win as well... why exclude Mvp's World Championship?

if he focuses too much on specific maps and preparation MVP will just do the same but better, and win 4-2

Didn't people learn their lesson when they were calling MKP the best player in the world, only for him to never replicate his success in random foreign tournaments in the GSL booth? I think this is shaping up to be a repeat of season 2, where everyone in the semis except MVP is constantly being hyped and talked about as the next big thing, until MVP wins anyway. MVP 4-0 Tell me if I am wrong but Life didn't get almost any hype until Ro8 because of BM. It might seem like Life has a hype train now, but most GSL finalists do, this kid is THE dangerous element of the tournament and I couldn't think of a better way for this to have turned out. A better Story line then any other final possible from Ro4 imo.

A better Story line then any other final possible from Ro4 imo. Life was never overhyped to the degree that someone like Taeja was, but its been steadily growing. He was discussed as a serious royal road contender early on. Now people are saying he is possibly the best zerg in the world. I don't think its impossible, but its definitely premature, considering that it is based almost entirely off of a finals placement in one tournament. He is certainly a dangerous person to play, but I don't think his famed unpredictability is really going to phase someone like MVP, who has been winning games ever since one-basing was standard.
