Didn't people learn their lesson when they were calling MKP the best player in the world, only for him to never replicate his success in random foreign tournaments in the GSL booth? I think this is shaping up to be a repeat of season 2, where everyone in the semis except MVP is constantly being hyped and talked about as the next big thing, until MVP wins anyway. MVP 4-0 How can you say Rain is overhyped? Rain is in the OSL finals currently and MvP had serious trouble beating him. Comparing him with MarineKing is just silly. MarineKing does either a really aggressive timing attack or a really greedy macro build, and got much of his success from that, combined with his micro. Rain's play style is almost the opposite. A lot of standard play. He doesn't cut corners often and uses mostly light pressure rather than straight up brute forcing his way to victory.

I don't think its impossible, but its definitely premature, considering that it is based almost entirely off of a finals placement in one tournament. He is certainly a dangerous person to play, but I don't think his famed unpredictability is really going to phase someone like MVP, who has been winning games ever since one-basing was standard. Tell me if I am wrong but Life didn't get almost any hype until Ro8 because of BM. It might seem like Life has a hype train now, but most GSL finalists do, this kid is THE dangerous element of the tournament and I couldn't think of a better way for this to have turned out. A better Story line then any other final possible from Ro4 imo. Of course it's premature. Life has only been in this form for 2 months and is currently back in school. It would be a miracle of willpower and training if he manages to maintain this level of play until New Year's alone. But predicting a 4-0 is just plain stupid and insulting. He just made the second-best terran look like he didn't belong in Code S and Life was not favored in that series. A better Story line then any other final possible from Ro4 imo. In the Round of 16 he was "lucky" that he managed to get one of the weaker groups. In the Round of 16 he was "lucky" that he won a base trade with Seed in the deciding game. He was supposed to lose to MarineKing because he was inexperienced, he was supposed to lose to Taeja because Taeja was better than him. And now people are using the same silly rationalizations for the finals. When has Life shown that he cares about reputation, experience, fortune? There were a million people who were "better" than him in the past, and there will be more like that in the future. He is like Mvp in that sense: he just decides that he can win any series and does it regardless of what we forum people say.

I'm his biggest fan and that is going too far. If he wins MLG Fall and IPL5 then he would have a strong case for it, and only a "he's the best zerg at the moment" argument. I do believe that he can be the best zerg in the world for a long time but he has distractions right now. Beating Mvp would be a huge step in the right direction.

Next season Flash is coming. The pre-Kespa days may belong to MVP, but Flash is on his way.

Mvp 4-2 Life if all goes well for MVP, if MVP is somehow human then 4-2 Life. It's impossible to predict. If MVP keeps his air of immortality when he palys Life, then he has it. If Life is good enough that even MVP can't figure him out, then Life will crush.

Game 1 was pretty much dead even. Even when Taeja was caught out, he still managed to keep the game at a relatively level playing field, until he lost large group of SCV's unnecessarily. Game 2... well... we all know what happened. Game 3, This was the only game where I thought Life really outplayed Taeja. But to be honest, Taeja appeared to be pretty tilted by the first two games, he didn't play particularly well in game 3. Still, congrats to life. Honestly, I think he'll be doing well to take a game off of MVP, so I'm going to say MVP 4-1 in the finals.

Tastosis were too distracted by the massacre in the main to understand why Taeja pulled his SCVs, and assumed it was a misclick. Life actually set up an ambush with his lings and banelings along the reinforcement line and caught the SCVs being sent back. Game 2: Not that big of a deal. Hotkey mistake that cost some mining time.
