Welcome welcome one and all! Time for your weekly fix of Liquipedia updates. We've got an slick new video by Sir Chobopeon, a sexy section on the new maps, and the sound of flapping wings (??). Read on!

If you've been on TeamLiquid for a while you've probably seen Chobopeon at one time or another. Famous for being perhaps TeamLiquid's unluckiest Altitude player you should recently have seen him work on StarCraft Center as well as the StarCraft Bible. Recently, he and itmeJP teamed up to revive SC Center, a daily newsshow that we heartily recommend.
On top of contributing such a lot by working on his own projects, Chobopeon has managed to find the time to join Liquipedia in the making of a superduperawesome tutorial video. In under nine minutes, he explains all you need to know and more to become a proper Liquipedian, illustrating how easy it is to contribute.

As you're probably well aware, the SC2 community is, finally, being graced with a new batch of maps. And what a batch it is!
GSTL introduces Crevasse, Crossfire, Terminus and Tal'Darim Altar and the testserver has likewise received an update that includes four more playable maps under the elusive names of Testmap1, Testmap2, Testmap3 and Testmap4.As you can see from the first four links, we're already starting to keep track of the GSTL maps. However, the articles are still very empty. Once these maps hit the ladder people will be looking to Liquipedia for intel and you can help get these articles up to scratch by contributing. Think an overview of good tank spots, an analysis of ovie safehouses and maybe rush or cliffhop distances.
The PTR Testmaps don't even have pages yet. If you have access to the testserver and feel you want to let the world know what's coming please help us out by starting these pages.
Edit: I got a pm informing me that
ICCup Testbug and ICCup Pawn are now part of ESL's February mappool. Since they're now part of the competitive scene Liquipedia is "officially" interested in these maps, so check them out and maybe add a thing or two if you can. Finally though, take a look at this:
MutaliskNotice anything? Well yeah it's a pretty beefy article, but scroll down a bit. Hell yeah, it's moving friggin images. Resident brothers Grysly and Ustp buckled down for a night, rendered, uploaded, and added unit gifs to (almost) all of the unit pages! I only just found out about it but I think it's frigging fantastic. Adding a gallery bit to the Unit pages open so many possiblies (acid/fire death animations anyone?), proving once again that Liquipedia has the potential to be the ultimate StarCraft resource. Massive thumbs up to these guys, keep up the good work!
