Honestly, I don't feel too good about our leads at the moment. That being said, I think he is the strongest of them. 1. He is obviously on TL and is probably reading the thread since he voted RIGHT after I put up that post mentioning his inactivity. 1a. He has also posted in other places on this site since the game started. In this thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=91853¤tpage=19 he posts. This is ~8 hours after roles have been sent out. 2. His vote is completely random. This looks like desperation to me. He doesn't want us analyzing him. He likely has something to hide. 3. Even after being accused, he isn't talking in the thraed. I think is because the last time he did that, he just dug himself into even deeper trouble (see chuiu's 1-day long mafia game). I have chosen NOT to lynch quickstriker not because I don't think he is a legitimate candidate, but because I think he is more likely to be a townie than inertinept. His arguments, while totally gross, do indicate that he can be rather impulsive at times. I don't want to make a mistake similar to the condemnation of Scaramanga by Ver and myself from last game. We probably jumped the gun a little on that a little and I remember thinking at the time that it didn't completely add up. This isn't to say that he isn't mafia. I think the decision to lynch him bears further analysis/discussion. Another candidate I thought about was coolcrimefighter. I have chosen not to lynch him because I honestly haven't been able to figure him out. I urge the town to watch him carefully as well. | ||

If you are trying to tell something to me specifically, try PM rather than hieroglyphics. How are we going to even know what our DTs decide to do? We have no way to get them organized at this point qatol can't be proven innocent so maybe he is blue like last mayor was and then DTs can trust but right now no DT should be trusting anyone. Even if they role check someone they could get the GF. Maybe one of SoG, Caller and you are GF?! Are you GF and hoping some DT will get curious and check you, see you as blue or green and trust you then you will kill him? Because that is a big possibility at this point the way you are begging to be role checked without any justification and how you have said you are waiting to earn trust before you start giving more plans to the town. in part 2 of your post you are asking us to kill sog or caller, two great players, without explaining why. my wtf meter is beeping pretty loud. seriously, DTs: you should be following qatol at this point until Showtime! puts some logic behind whatever it is that he is doing. | ||

That is the thing. We don't. We have 3 legimate choices. There's a reason why I put myself on the chopping block as well. I'll let our trustworthy DTs handle that. Targeting inactives is hit and miss. I think we're swinging for the fences with lynching BlindAlbino based on that intel alone. I rather Qatol either get rid of: SoG, Caller or me. | ||

In other words, I'm going to be cryptic as fuck. I just reread all of your posts, caller's posts, and SoG's posts from the start of the game to where you said at least one of you three has to be mafia and it still makes no fucking sense why we would lynch one of you three. Especially you. If we kill you how are we supposed to find out what the fuck that was supposed to prove. You are making zero sense. You are bluffing that you are willing to die, so why the fuck aren't you willing to tell us what you are thinking in case that you do. You won't lift a finger to explain yourself so allow me to offer a possible explanation, feel free to refute: You're a godfather faking some blue role and you want to get a DT to check you and befriend you so you raise up a shitstorm around yourself. SoG and/or Caller are regular mafia and they are busy with school work and so they don't mind dying early, in fact they would like to do so because it would help them avoid being distracted around finals time. So, maybe you are a godfather faking DT and call out SoG and/or Caller as mafia and town lynches them and they turn red. Then town loves and adores you, I mean surely the mafia wouldn't sacrifice a player as good as SoG or Caller this early in the game! Likely? I dunno. Most likely thing I can come up with at this point since I can't see anything suspicious about SoG or Caller at this point. | ||

I'm a far cry from obvious. *** I wouldn't make it so blatant in my posts. Perhaps someone like Incognito or Ver can explain to you how I function. You can twist n' turn it anyway you want. I already gave a logical explanation as to why a DT might focus their attention on us. There is no need to dissect it. Take it for what it is. Either they get a red, green or blue. Based on what we have, if they wish to use a RC then do so. If they want to wait for the next set of clues, that's great too. I'm just providing a little direction to a) establish a core b) get rid of big name mafia players early. OR perhaps I'm protecting SoG, Caller and myself by putting our names out there. It would be a silly move on the mafia's part to take us out early based on my suspicions. There are many ways you can spin it. I have very good foresight and I can only see this benefiting the Town. Hm, I really wish I didn't signup so late so I could have a shot at Mayor. Too bad! Off the top of my head I can make five connections to each of us ( and no, it has nothing to do with my seige tank icon). That should do it for now. | ||

I'm thinking the Mafia want to eliminate key players. If they suspect any of us are going to be getting role checked, they are just going to take us out because not only are they now getting rid of a supposedly good player, which they will probably be aiming to do anyway, but they also made the Detective waste a role check on someone who immediately died. Trying to direct the Detectives is bad because Mafia benefits more from that information than the town does. The best time of the game for players like You, Me and Caller to get role checked would be several nights in if we are still alive. Not on Night Two. If there is a role we should be helping direct, it's the Medics, because that alters the Mafia kills in a positive way for the town. Something like last game, a list of veteran/desirable players which the Medics can be advised to choose from for protection targets. It should be a list larger than the number of Medics we think we have and it makes every person on that list a risk for Mafia to target. In this way we can force the Mafia to either stack up kills on one player, effectively reducing their kill power or we force them to make suboptimal kills each night. | ||

If anyone has a better idea of who I should be targeting, please post it in the thread or PM me. Remember, the theory is that we should be targeting people who are uncharacteristically silent. You're very quick to draw inactivity conclusions. I just spent a day with my girlfriend, and didn't post in the thread prior to that because I didn't have anything to say to the town. I sent a PM to a player in Mafia though. | ||

 (altho I read some of it last night, didn't have the time to post anything worthwhile). Ad as per usual the thread is growing very rapidly right off the bat, even if some of u don't agree, lol. It's a bit difficult for me to keep up with it all ATM due to exam papers and lots of translation work to do (some other people mentioned, it's exams season for some of us now :o), but I'll try to post something more useful a bit later.For now I'd just like to say it's strange to me why most of the people jumped on the vote-for-Qatol bandwagon so eagerly. All the other candidates (and good candidates are in there, may I add) barely got a vote or two. But I suppose there's nothing too suspicious about it yet, seeing as how Town probably just wants something new, and Ace was just way too lazy in his "campaign" Looks like Qatol has it won anyway, so I'll just abstain so as not to make the bandwagon any bigger. | ||

It's only what's expected from Showtime!, since that's how he played himself in pretty much every other Mafia game. My advice is, he should be completely ignored. He provides no info or logic whatsoever, only confusion. And confusion only helps Mafia, be it themselves who spread it, or a silly townie. | ||
