Technically, it injects some javascript in all teamliquid mafia threads which gives the end user access to vote counting functionality. I kind of ran out of ideas by now so if someone wants to use it for some time and provide some feedback that would be awesome. I don't really want to host it on some site where I don't have control over it but if someone wants it over mail or if someone can host it somewhere not-so-public then that would be nice. The manifest only allows the code on teamliquid.net/forum/mafia/* addresses. I don't know if it's literally the coolest but I did try my best and it's certainly the best shot I've made at automatic vote counting.

Subject: Purgatory 2 Body: ##unvote Cory ##vote Artichoke and then edit a post (a permanent votecount post below the OP) real time, maybe every 5 minutes. The idea is that votes will be cast in secret via PM though the current votecount will always be visible. There will be mechanics that will allow people to control other people's votes live.

I made this TL Mafia Chrome extension which does vote counting. Palmar has been kind enough to host it here LINK. The user/pass is tlmafia/quatol. There's a little guide on developer.chrome.com on how to install it here under "Load the extension". The steps are: 1) Download the zip fil and extract its contents (two files, manifest.json and script.js) into some folder (remember which folder) 2) Put in chrome://extensions in your chrome address bar and press enter. 3) Enable developer mode (it's a check box in the top) 4) Click the "Install unpacked extension" in the top of the chrome://extensions page 5) Find the folder you unpacked it in If anybody encounters any problems could use some help with this just send me a PM and I'll be happy to assist. All I ask in return is some feedback on how it's working out for you and if there's anything else you might want from it. Maybe you need to click "activate" in the chrome://extensions page if it isn't already checked. It should now be installed. FAQ: How do you know it's installed? When you go to a thread on the mafia subforum on teamliquid, there should be a link in the top next to the page numbers called "Count". How does it work? You go to the thread in which you want to count votes. Then you press the "Count" link and it shows a popup (you don't have to enable popups though) and you should input some information about the vote count you want to do (players, where to count from, where to count to, what you want the extension to output). Then you press the "-> Start Count <-" button in the top of the popup and wait patiently until the counter is done and you should have a vote count right there. The output will be some teamliquid BBCode and you can cope paste it into a PM or a post to see how it will look. That sounds difficult? There is already some input in the extension, set up so it counts the votes from the first day of Storm Mafia 2. To check out how it works, go to that page, click "Count", click "-> Start Count <-", and then wait until it has loaded the pages (needs 4 pages) and created the BBCode, shouldn't take more than a few seconds. Copy/paste the BBCode from the textarea and PM it to yourself to see the results. I need to get rid of this extension because of ...things. How do I do that? You go to the chrome://extensions page and either deactivate the extension or delete it (click the trash can). How does it work, more technically? Chrome extensions are written in javascript and it works by loading as many pages of the thread that you need to make a vote count and then it goes through the contents of those pages and finds the votes. It's open source and everybody has access to the code, if somebody wants to make modifications they're free to do that but it would be nice if they would PM me first.

Hey guise! It's been a while since I've been around; I had to leave the last couple games I was in due to health reasons and it's been a long road to recovery for me. I plan to start playing again real soon; I miss yall (though if/when I do play I don't think I can play with anywhere near the activity or vigor I used to; too much stress ![]() Unrelated to the above, I'm gonna do a viewer giveaway to celebrate my 100 follower Twitch stream milestone as soon as I finish Dark Souls. Going to pay it forward in a way and give away a copy of Dark Souls 2. I've set the rule that in order to be eligible you have to be following my stream and on the stream when I give it away, and it will be sometime before Saturday during my normal streaming hours. I can't guarantee it but I would love to give it away to a TLer over some rando (I do want to be fair) so whether you guys take this as advertising or whatnot, you should hit follow on my stream at some point soon and come hang out with us. I dunno maybe i just didnt enjoy the dailymafia format or whatever? It's crazy how many views that show gets weekly though, hell even when they randomly stream a game or two they get over 100 people at times. If people really wanted to get something like this together though i certainly wouldn't decline.

I think part of the issue is the fact that we're all from different parts of the world, unlike DM where they all seem to be from NA I think. For example the only time that would ever work for me is evenings after 10PM my time, which is like what, 4 in the morning for you?
