That was also completely strategic. I didn't want marv to be productive, i didn't want to get into lengthy discussions with marv, I wanted to runi the towns atmosphere. Start a shit fight (by calling marv scum) and then refuse to interact with him for the rest of the game. Well that seems to fit those objectives perfectly.
Also I got town read for it. To me the difference lies between "Look at this retarded post" and "look at this retard". IF you can maintain that distinction, you shouldnt be getting modkilled for flaming. What about "no one can be this retarded as town. he is scum or bad." ? "Retard" isn't pc anymore. I could get fired for saying "retard" no matter what the context is. It's sort of like how saying "negro" is wrong now but was socially acceptable in America prior to the 60s. Hypothetically, say someone messages someone after they die (before reveal) and you make you think they are one role when they're not that role, causing you to change how you're thinking about the game and then you lynch someone different that same day because you're now basing it on an invalid assumption based off of OGI. What would be the punishment for that?

Well say if your talking about dota its fine you just dont talk about the mafia game. If your making a jump that your assuming the other player wouldn't message you at all if he was say mafia in your example i think that just your prerogative and probably bad logic.

Eh that's toe-ing the line. In general you just don't talk about anything game-relevant with another player.
Even something like modkills can lead to some questionable inferences (i.e. if this player flips town, would a mafia player really be this upset about the modkill?).

Just because I was reading back a bit. I don't think you need to be worried about this. You have a fairly similar style of play to me and I seem to stay out of trouble for the most part. The trick is just to choose your insults wisely. You're in no way some over the top flamer, and you're smart enough to not need that shit anyway.

And most of the people I had to modkill or deal with were just reacting to the awful game thread. Light but just punishments for the sources of the awfulness.
