Oh. Well thats pretty much what day vig is on like SA. The ONLY difference is flavor and maybe the way it could interact with other roles because it uses different terms.

Im used to that kind of day vig. They shoot day ends as soon as they submit the command and noone lynched.

I know dayvig as a role that shoots during the day, the person dies, and the day continues. I think that's how it's done in most places.

Red's method is how I think everyone here does Dayvigs. I know I've been dayvigged before and the day went on.

Removing the BP is fine, but ultimately any game with a possible even finish could end like this. I need some way to allow scum to massclaim if and only if they outnumber town, in a way that Town can't mimic, ending the game.

I hate that solution though, because it takes away from the special mechanics.

In Sleeper Cell 1, there was a Cell leader who knew all the names of every agent. Ace was too boss for this to happen, but there was a mechanic that said if the cell leader dies, a new random member is chosen cell leader. I might have to go back to this form, which allows scum to claim in an endgame scenario.

I actually concur with that, vigi is already good enough without offering such crutches. It's telling that two counter-examples offered are all extreme situations.

I was thinking about another aspect of this setup. The leo role is a classic example of a single role that has a heavy influence on the overall balance of the game. That is a risky way to balance because of the fact that he can die at anytime juat like everyone else.

I would suggest a set up where the scum are only each allowed say 3 messages all game long and remove the leo role.his keeps the basic elements of this setup more stable. This setup was not about leo it was about scum not knowing each other. The leo role dieing so fast completely changed that dynamic.

There is probably other ways to accomplish this but the idea is to find a way to let scum do some chatter without them having a 100% safe way to reveal all to each other.

In the case of that wierd 2 vigi 2 scum just add a rule that states there may be additional rules that regulate the victory condition and add the line until your shot is fired you count as 1.5 players when figuring how many scum vs town remain.
