In order for the Demonic Concealer to use the conceal day action, submit to ZBot a PM with ##Conceal. If you do not wish to use your conceal day action during a particular day, submit ##Don't Conceal. The last valid PM sent to ZBot before the lynch occurs will be used. Remember that the lynch occurs instantly once a player has a majority of votes.
Do you need to send a PM every night? Even the nights you don't want to use conceal? Or is it only if you have already PM'd in a conceal and then change your mind that you need to ##Don't Conceal?

Can't wait, see you all on the 2nd. Happy new year festivities!
<edit> IMO any player should refrain from discussing the game until the game starts(for example, best play for a corrupted player). The reason is that you may and must change your position depending on your role. shouldn't we take advantage of the open set-up by discussing it? Besides everyone will either be town or pretending to be town once the game starts, and seeing as 12/18 players are town, surely it would benefit the majority to start discussion early. the only reason i would hold back on discussing something now would be so that i haven't got any opinions/stances that i have to adhere to if i get angel/demon but even then as i am in control of what i write there is very little danger of me ruining my chances as as angel/demon, by taking stances that i cannot maintain.

This also mean i have 1/3 chance to give my ennemies precious advice. I'm not taking the bet :p. The first day will last 72 hours, that will be plenty of time for discussion.

What about the possibility of trying to deceive your enemies? Surely a good player should be able to give bad reasoning for optimal play that still makes sense in someone's head.
Isn't that what this game is about? :D
|
have you read TL Mafia XLVIII? do you actually have faith in players to follow sound advice and play well? i would just like to get opinions that don't have a 1/3 chance of being dishonest and/or misleading (that isn't to say that people will be honest pre-game anyway) also if its bad advice you need to learn to recognise that as part of the game anyway
|
but that is my point, talking about proper play on a certain setup right now goes against the spirit of the game(in my opinion), as you have to discuss about things in the sense of playing for you and your team; imagine if someone gives a proper way to play as corrupted town and you flip Demon. Suddenly you are in a bad spot because people already know what to do pre-game and you can't convince them otherwise.
No, I don't expect people to follow sound advice and play well, but I just think that in-game related discussion should be left for the game.
(plus these kinds of discussions are excellent day 1 ice breaker)

if your demon strategy could be ruined by players deciding how corrupted town should play then i think that that strategy would not have been worth perusing in the first place, besides you don't have to discuss anything if that is how you feel

I'm going to actually try to be more aggressive this game.

Don't speak about that game T_T

Yes, I prefer that players do not discuss strategy before the game starts. I will of course continue to take questions players have about the setup.

Anyone who can perform a night action MUST submit a PM every night cycle in which they can perform a night action. This is an activity requirement. I expect players to pay close enough attention to the game to never unintentionally miss an opportunity to perform night actions. (The conceal day action is exempt because days can end prematurely with an instant lynch.)

In other news, I have been instructed to find a cohost. This cohost will do absolutely nothing, unless I die, in which case he or she will allow the game to continue with minimal interruption while my body slowly decomposes and the atoms which used to be part of me are scattered across the four winds. + Show Spoiler +Original Message From Foolishness: Okay, I'm going to require you to have a cohost that's a human for your game, in the event that something should happen. Yes, I realize I may have let you host without one before, but from now on you'll need a rightful cohost. Obviously I'm not expecting a lot out of the cohost since you have Zbot doing the majority of the work, so if he does virtually nothing that's not an issue at all. If they just check daily for questions and making sure everything gets posted when it's should then that's probably more than enough. Show nested quote +Original Message From Zona: ZBot. Actually, considering that I'm porting over more of my game logic code for this game, and that ZBot will be handling all vote counting, day posts, and even a big portion of night action resolution (leaving me to basically write flavor), it would be more accurate to say that I'm acting as ZBot's cohost. Original Message From Foolishness: Who is your cohost?

eh, im already watching the game so... I might as well ##Volunteer Co-Host

Okay, Cyber_Cheese is my cohost.
