Introduction:
Mafia is an educated guessing game of epic proportions. The objective of the game is to lynch or kill all mafia members before they outnumber the rest of the town. It's much like a game of poker because mafia members are also part of the town during the day and may manipulate the vote to their liking. If the mafia at any time outnumber or equal the townspeople, they win. The town's goal is to lynch all the members of the mafia.
The game is typically very active, so the thread will get big quickly. However, it is essential to read the thread to play the game. If you do not have the time or patience to read the whole thread, do not play. I will not compensate for ignorance.
Rules:
Cheating:
Cheating includes (but is not limited to):
1. Posting after death. You may have one polite goodbye post, but it may not contain any potentially game-changing information.
2. Ruining the game by doing something like hand out your mafia's member list to the town.
3. Logging on to someone else's account to get their role or looking over someone's shoulder to get their role.
4. Comparing role PM times to determine roles.
5. Posting screenshots of your inbox.
6. Posting any PM you receive from a host.
7. Getting yourself modkilled to help your team. Your non-majority-decided death may not be used as a bargaining chip.
8. Signing up more than once using smurf accounts.
9. Betting items outside of the game in exchange for in-game benefits.
10. Sharing accounts with other players. Only you may post on your account.
Cheating is not tolerated here. The punishment will be severe.

This is mod font. It is reserved for moderators. Please do not use it.

This is question font. Use it to ask the moderators questions about the rules. Please do us a favor and read the rules before you ask anything.
Activity:
You must post in this thread three times per day and once per night cycle and vote every day while you are alive. If you fail to do so, you will be modkilled.

Editing:
Editing is not allowed for any reason. Editing will result in a warning. After that, you will be modkilled. This is the one part of the site where it is okay to be double posting, even triple-posting. While I ask for everybody to post as concisely as possible, post again if you have to edit anything.
Inappropriate posts:
If you want to post something insulting or inappropriate and know the TL mods would have a problem with it elsewhere, don't post it here. If you do, a host will warn you or modkill you and request that you be banned from future games. The hosts have the final say on what is inappropriate. If you do not like how someone is talking to you, please PM a host, Qatol, or Flamewheel before involving the TL staff. If you are unsatisfied with how the situation is resolved, then you can appeal to the TL staff normally.
Reporting posts:
The report button is a nice feature for regular TL, but not for this forum. We prefer to deal with things in house if possible to avoid confusion among the TL staff. If you have a problem with how someone is posting, talk to the host, co-host, Qatol, or Flamewheel before using your report button. Please do not use your report button for anything other than inappropriate posts which you feel are not being dealt with adequately.
Ban discussions:
Please wait until this game is over to talk about modkills and bans resulting from this game.
Play to win.
This means you play your best to help your team win while you are alive and in the game. However, this does not mean that you should try to win by being a jerk to the other players so they all want to quit playing.
This also means that you cannot leave the game without a good reason without a ban. These situations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. PM your host if you need to leave the game.

Voting rules:
1. Voting is done in a separate thread, located *here*. Please keep votes there, and only vote there. Do not PM me your vote.
2. Please vote in the following format: ##Vote NotScumAtAll. Votes not done in the correct fashion will not be counted. I will update vote counts whenever I get the chance.
3. No conditional voting.
4. You may NOT vote for yourself. You may not vote for anyone dead or outside the game.
5. In the event of a tie the person with the most votes first wins (or loses).
6. Voting is mandatory. You may NOT abstain.
Signups:
This game is open to anyone. Signups will remain open until all 20 spots have been filled. Game might be resized to 25-man game.

Modkills:
This game follows the TL Mafia Ban List. If you are modkilled, your punishment will go beyond being eliminated from this game. Please refer to it for questions about your punishment. If you want to use this game to sit out your ban, please PM Qatol or post in the Ban List.
Replacements
This game uses replacements. Replacements will be made in the game until Day 4. If a player is modkilled during the designated time, then they will be replaced by a player on the replacement list.

There are no clues.
PMs
PMs are allowed in this game.
There are additional rules though!
Time Cycle:
This game will follow a 24 hour night/48 hour day cycle. In case I am not able to post around deadline, any votes after the 48 hour mark will not count and the game will be put on halt until the night post is up. Currently the deadline is 22:00 GMT (+00:00), but that is subject to change.

Mute Player Mechanic
This game features mute players. Mute players can't send PMs, can't talk in irc, skype and whatever private sources there are, but they can receive PMs and sit on irc. This is exception for Mafia, as they still can contact eachother, but can't talk with Town members.
Players are told they're mute.
Everyone can be mute in addition to their roles, besides BLU Sniper, who is always mute.
The mute players count is hidden. Mute players flip Mute *Alignment* *Role*.

RED Spy
French nightmare. He is the head of the RED team in Teamville. Sometimes gone, sometimes just pretending to be gone. His deadly butterfly knife can kill everyone with a successful blow in the back. His revolver will save him in the closest situations. His disguise capability and stealth make him literally impossible to kill.

Framer Godfather:
Chooses one role to appear as and every night can frame somebody, resulting in reverting his alignment during a spy check. (BLU will return RED and the other way around.)
RED Sniper
Oh, that happy Australian Hunter. His life is mostly living in a van and arguing with his parents. Besides that, he’s amazing marksman and he can kill most of the classes in one, precise and silent shot. His twin brother was always training harder, the rivalry was always something huge in their lives.
“Pink Cloud of Death”
Day Vigilante:
He must aim ##Aim Playername in the thread, hour after that shot is executed.Has one bullet.
The Four Legged-Electrosapper Robot
Little is known about this thing. Probably better version of the Three Legged-Electrosapper Robot, that’s everything we can speculate about.
Roleblocker and Muter:
Every Night or Day(Need to wait a cycle to use the ability again) the player might roleblock and mute the player. The player will lose his PM privilages for that Day/Night and his actions will fail. He can’t claim the roleblock and mute till it ends. It ends together with Day/Night it was used on.
RED Pyro
RED Pyro is known for hit and run tactics. He will choose his victim and attack him from behind, then run away, leaving him to the after burn damage.
0.5KP Night Vigilante:
Players are noticed when burnt. Second hit from Pyro makes them die (because his hit is worth 0.5KP) unless they're BLU Heavy, then Pyro needs four hits to kill him. If someone is medic protected at any time, their health is regenerated, unless it's Heavy who lost his first life to Pyro. Other KP sources from Mafia DON'T stack.
RED Scout
The delivery boy. The RED Scout is fast and agile, usually used in executions and everything grunt-related. People fitting this class will usually be everywhere and appear helpful to the Townsville.

Expert runner and acrobat. He can jump onto the roofs of the buildings and see what classes do.
Tracker:
Every night chooses to track one person. Results are:

or
X did not visit anyone.
BLU Pyro
Mmhmhmhmhm p! Phphp ahah dishshhpners hherhe!
Alignment Detective. Spychecks people. They either burn or not. Thus, Pyro is given result BLU or RED. RED Spy comes back as BLU unless framed.
BLU Soldier
I AM GOING TO TEACH YOU HOW IT IS DONE IN THE FRONT LINES, MAGGOT. WITH FORCE AND BULLETS!
Role Detective. Visits people with his shotgun and sees who they are. Because RED fear him going 1UP on them, they don't fight him.
BLU Heavy
I am Heavy Weapons Guy, and this is my weapon. BARE HANDS. I am to punch these cowards back home!
Veteran:
Has two lives cancellable by roleblocker.
BLU Medic
A-haha! OKTOBERFEEEST! Ze medicine makes our team strong! I can ze save everyone with my gun, the medigun!
Medic:
Chooses one person at night to protect, temporarily giving them one life for that night and recovering their health if hit by Pyro.
BLU Sniper
His skills are a lot better than RED's Sniper. Capable of shooting both at day and night silently make him a great assassin. He is always mute though. He never said a word since he came to the village.
Mute Day/Night Vigilante:
BLU Sniper can't write PMs, chat in irc and other private places. He has one bullet for Day shot and one bullet for Night shot. Needs to wait one cycle to shoot again. He must aim ##Aim Playername in the thread, hour after shot will be executed
BLU Spy
He's excellent in killing. End of information.
Self-concious Night Vigilante:
Has two bullets. If he hits BLU player, he loses his powers and becomes Mute.
BLU Engineer
He is missing his guitar, but his wrench and mind are here. He is now back from Bahamas and ready to aid the BLU team to the victory.
Role Chooser:
Night 1 Engineer decides to build one of the following buildings:
a) Teleport:
Engineer can now save people by placing teleport in their houses. If BLU Scout tracks a person who is teleported it counts as visiting someone. Does not regenerate health from Pyro's fire, but makes Pyro's action fail as it is a KP-type action.
b) Dispenser
Engineer can now refill people's bullets and lives. Refill can't give more bullets or lives than starting amount. When refilling BLU Sniper his first-used bullet is refilled. Engineer and people without additional lives/bullets are not pmed about the visit (so Engineer does not know if he refilled someone)
c) Sentry Gun
Because of newest RED technology Sentry Gun can not kill anymore. Instead, it watches doorsteps. It gives Engineer the result:
X was visited by someone.
X was not visited by anyone.
Every "invention" can be used from N2 and on. Engineer can't build another invention/destroy it/replace it. Roleblocking Engineer makes his inventions fail too.
Awkward Cow
Wat is dis? - Drunk Demoman
Miller/Noisy Neighbour:
Every Night this Cow visits random person. When checked by BLU Pyro it comes as RED, when checked by a BLU Soldier it comes back as RED Scout.
Not every role is guaranteed to be in game!
