Right, sorry bout waiting his long, but it thought it necessary. Firstly, I will say that I've been wanting to claim II since before the game, as I thought it an interesting way to draw mafia and other undesirables into a trap. Unfortunetly, Mr.Wiggles outed VE before I actually pulled this off. Ironically, I was going to claim to VE then, and do what CB did, but CB did it first again. Unrelenting, I decided to try it myself to see what I could get.

I told notasmurf of my intentions before hand (of course, I didn't actually tell a second person as I told notasmurf I did. That would have doubled my chance of telling mafia of my gambit and making it worthless.) + Show Spoiler +

Now. On to explaining my actions:

The real purpose was multifaceted in nature: Primarily it was to see if any mafia would contact me. The secondary objective was to see if VE would out me, though I would have been surprised if he had. (As regardless of my proformance in IM, would another II _really_ claim after what happened to CB?) Still, I tried my best, and was rewarded by this PM.

When I first received this, it made me suspicious of him, but looking at the events of the lynch, I'd say that this is actually a strong indication of town alignment. If mafia were going to contact someone who they thought was and II, they would have contacted them with RedFF cause he was in the most danger, and was going to die anyways. (Yes, it was close, but there was a good ten min that he could have contacted everyone claiming to be an II.)

To that end, I'd like to say that from my brief read over, everything that VE quoted about our conversation was correct. I don't deny any of what happened there.

If VE was an II, he would want to make up a PM and blame it on someone else. But he didn't make up both, so I doubt he made up both. It don't make sense. Looking at it from my perspective (or if you believe me) I looks very much like VE is town, and CB scum.

If you are telling the truth Kav your plan was extremely poorly planned out. Your defense of VE in the thread makes you extremely suspicious. All you have really done is distract the town and bring a ton of suspicion onto yourself. Telling notasmurf about your plan helps but you told someone who has contributed almost nothing in thread to the town. It is plausible that mafia could risk one of their members to vouch for you in thread if they felt the chances of you dying were low enough. There is really 0 reason for the town to trust either you or notasmurf.

I don't know if you are telling the truth or lying but clearly VE/CB are much more important targets atm. So meh.

I would like to point out that not a single person voted for me, and I doubt that the mafia were desparate enough to pull one of their own to defend me, much less actually think that I was mafia, but w/e.

The the II thing is blowing up bigger than I thought it would, and I don't want it distracting us from scum hunting through analysis. So unless several people are calling for further explanations, I'll hold back from defending myself to avoid spamming the thread.

Deconduo's play this game has been less than spectacular. 3/4 of his posts are just clarifying little mistakes and errors for other people. The other 1/4 is him telling people that they're voting wrong and then going on to vote Kurumi for:

Amazing. Well, I didn't alter the PMs from CB first of all, you need only look at his version of the PMs to see that HE is the one who has altered them (look at the Show Original Quote bits to see what I mean.) I was admittedly intentionally vague and didn't give him an answer. The hint part was meant to be an ironic joke because this was sent after the conversation with Wiggles went live. I didn't believe his claim at all, but the fact that he had to alter it to defend himself absolutely LOCKS him in as II to me.

Kavdragon on the other hand.

Kavdragon made his claim the exact same way I made mine, only better. I'm thoroughly convinced he's telling the truth providing notasmurf comes on and confirms what he's saying.

Basically, I wanted to fish for information a bit, and wanted to try to figure out whether to reveal this now, or at night and let vigs deal with it. Decided to reveal now, to avoid vig overlap tonight. He also wasn't giving me any more information. Lynch ends in 7 hours, kill this guy. Shoot redFF, maybe Palmar, tonight.

I did NOT have a witness, it's true. It's also true that I was actively participating in town discussion and trying to find scum BEFORE this debacle. It's also true that I was on a very obviously scum bandwagon.

Would I REALLY be this town if I was scum? Would I REALLY out 2 other potential Insane Inmates if I were aligned with scum? Would I REALLY be on a bandwagon that very OBVIOUSLY contains scum? Verily, would I REALLY push that wagon as hard as I can, even to save my skin, if I were aligned with scum?

The Aftermath:
I've fucked up town's situation. I've fucked up town's atmosphere. But I refuse to let you guys vig me. I came clean with you about scum-claims made to me, in spite of not believing them. I believe we've caught another scum in the process (CB), and I think we've got a GREAT chance of Wiggles and Kavdragon being town. I urge you to look at the facts, look at the motivations and see what's going on here. I'm town. I'm trying to win this thing, and I think we're off to a really good start. Don't mess it up and kill me and Kav.

So no, I did not just 'hop' on the bandwagon. I did a brief analysis of him as well, showing how hypocrital he was. He was scummy since the start of the game.

In fact, YOU were the one with the throwaway vote on TAA. You FOS someone for doing something and then go and do the same thing yourself.

As for tomorrow, ROL is a good candidate for a DT check or vig hit.

In light on Kavdragon's revelation, it would nice to get a confirmation from notasmurf that Kav actually told this plan to him. If notasmurf can confirm's Kav's plan, this should clear Kav's II claim.

As for DT check's tonight, I would suggest the following. At this point, the people who voted for redFF are less likely to be scum than those who did not since it was a close vote. So, I think that the DT's should focus on people on the VE vote-list since it is more likely that there are at-least a couple of scum there.

In that regards, a possible way of avoiding overlapping DT checks is that assigning potential DT's a third of the list. For e.g., if your number is 1-13 in player roster, focus your check on top 1/3rd section of the VE vote. #14-26 focuses on 5-8 on in player roster. #27-40 focuses on bottom 1/3rd of the list.
Of course, this does not make it 100% that DT's won't overlap checks since the player# of DT's can still fall in the same bracket but it decreases the probability of the clash though.

(I am assuming 3 DT's since I feel that it is highly unlikely that we have more than that.)
