Original Message From LSB: The only way mindcontrol can be canceled is if you Bus GGQ. This is because lots of complex things happen and everything goes to pieces, and I don't want to deal with it
That entire PM chain proves exactly what I said. You had no clear resolution picked out and you just sided with whatever benefited the first person to actually question you about it. Sorry that I work/inter/go to school 65+ hours a week and can't hound you every second of my life to make sure you don't do retarded shit, or at least decide favorably towards me about retarded shit.

We realized this, however had a scum faction won, they would have received a kp, a medic, and a dt. These items are much more powerful in the hands of a scum team, than in the town. The set-up included very few protection abilities, so there was a worry that one scum faction could simply nuke the remaining townies after day two. Both red and black were aware that their member's identity would be quickly revealed when they signed up for the game.
On April 08 2011 12:09 RebirthOfLeGenD wrote: Making Coagulation's role DT+ Item was really really weird and unnecessary. The item game was already heavily town favored since ALL check roles/threat of check roles can be focused on 6 players which gives an unfair advantage to the town in that scenario.
That was my fault. I joined after the set-up was nearly complete and I suggested there should be a reference to Pandain's mafia trash collector somewhere. Rather than replacing one of the already existing roles, we just tacked it onto coags.
On April 08 2011 12:09 RebirthOfLeGenD wrote: The king had ABSOLUTELY no chance of ever getting elected into office, therefore making their role simply about not being killed by the assassin, which is stupid.
The king had two hidden abilities. One was the power to cast an extra vote and one was the convert his bodyguards to medics upon victory. I agree that she had little motive to get elected, with the blues in play, however.

At that point it just comes down to who can kill who the fastest. Which is just stupid.
I was really surprised the other two factions let Black get buy out the names so easily. For a mechanic so game changing, I would have thought more attention would have be paid to how much money they had to prevent it from ever happening.

Along the same lines, why would the police force ever want to make scum bulletproof. Each faction was given an item to sell that would hurt their chances of victory.

Agreed, town certainly benefited from the number of confirmations, rather than relying on scum hunting. That being said, coag did manage to snipe both godfathers, so they weren't totally hopeless.

Right after that he said that he misunderstood my question..?
Look I understand the fustration... you didn't pm him the EXACT SEQUENCE of words that was needed to answer the question you were asking. You didn't know that I could bus myself. There was no way that you could have known that.
You need to give me some credit for coming up with that idea on my own though. LSB certainly didn't think of it. Nobody thought if it. I did, and i broke the game because i found a loophole. I'm not saying that I'm a genuis or anything, just that I found an loophole and exploited it.
Be angry at me, not at LSB. AFAIK he was as fair as he could be.

I'll never play in an LSB game again. Sorry dude you could have corrected your mistake but instead acted like it was our fault.
There were too many mechanics.
Black market was broken for third party.
Blues cheated and got slapped on the wrist twice.
Coagulation is the worst mafia player ever. Of all the people that should pat themselves on the back for a job well done he should be the last. The game was fucked from nearly Day 3. Nothing you did benefited the town. You caused the town demise.
GL to everyone in BB's game
And just wanted to add something else.
WTF was the deal with the arena? First you put Pandain in. Then replace him with RoL so a mafia is in it. You endangered a key mafia role by just throwing him in there, and then just gave up. If Pandain wasn't going to be active just give me or orgo the ability to use.

You question was basically: the bus driver has two target, but the puppeteer role says that I can control 1 target. Can we use the puppeter role to control both targets?
And I awnsered yes you can

Why would we be angry at you? Your random bus of me/bum night 1 is the only reason we even had a shot at winning the IG.

To answer the part about the black market. Your item's didn't equally harm each other. If I was blue, my main source of killing is the lynch. Making mafia bulletproof hurts the blacks. If I understand the RPG mechanic properly it cancels out a vest, it doesn't break through it. Meaning you would have to launch 2 KP at a black to kill them, one of which you had to buy and waste money on. The reds essentially sacrifice there only way of killing the blues in order to make some scratch.
To summarize. The reds couldn't really sell their product without hurting themselves badly. The blacks could sell their product to either side with minimal risk of damage, unless the other party KNEW they could temporarily break the vests AND had another KP at disposal (Meaning the blacks would only really want to sell it to the blues, who have no native KP) while the blues could sell their vests with minimal harm to their win condition, since lynching is their primary source of KP.

There was no way to monitor how much money was being spent. I was the treasurer and never knew who was spending what. If the 3 members [arms dealer, treasurer and the other one] were told what was being spent by LSB banking then it would have been somewhat helpful. The black market was another game I had to keep track of, hence why I never really had a chance to post in the thread. That was more daunting than anything. I didn't sign up for the item game because I knew I wouldn't have time to participate in both.

The point is that no one would ever buy a bulletproof vest if they were black, so both blues and reds were at a disadvantage. When I thought about it after maybe there should have only been one type of ability per team that could be sold:
Red can sell a medic item Blues can sell a detective item Blacks can sell a bulletproof or KP item
Something that would actually encourage activity in the black market. You wonder why I never sold one pill or even posted in the black market?

Be angry at me, not at LSB. AFAIK he was as fair as he could be. That's my point though. He didn't think of an actions consequences so instead he said "fuck it" and sided with making you OP. Your role never specifically stated you could bus yourself and he realized how that would shit all over the game but still allowed it. He KNEW it would fuck up night actions, hence his Physics fail shit but still allowed the action, just because YOU asked the question first. Do you see how that doesn't make sense as a justification? It's basically like saying "You should of cared to ask more questions, and faster so I could of sided with you first and not allowed him to bus himself"
The reason I didn't ask if you could bus yourself is because it creates a retarded fucking cycle and no reasonable human being would allow such an imbalanced interpretation in a role with such conflicting other powers at play.

So why didn't you guys sell a lot of drugs? It'd be funny if everyone died day 4
Mafia played passively in this game and you know it. Besides Meapak, no one did much
And why should blues be treated fairly in the black market?

Tnkted was told that if he bussed himself then he could avoid MC. His night action was based upon this information. It was a mistake that we didn't realize the role interaction conflict ahead of time. Obviously, we couldn't please both parties so we did what we thought was most fair by having the two roles cancel each other out. I'm sorry that it upset so many of you.

We wasted our night shots on Rean, a person we didn't care about at the time, and me, our own member.
He lost nothing.

*sigh* I hate to have to remind people, but its a *game* dont ruin the fun we all had by going all beserk over a decision in a game of frankly whacky balance. I enjoyed laughing at the shennanigans, and raging over a game that is over is a waste of time.

The fair thing to do would have been to let us know you misled us so we could create another plan. You guys saw the QT and just let us go ahead with it.
