Just getting all these egos to work together and play like a team is already good enough Exactly, Coach K has done a great job managing egos and making Team USA play as a pretty cohesive team. The 02' and 04' teams lacked team unity, not talent. Those teams were also poorly constructed. Too many ball stoppers who play one on one on offense. They didn't have good outside shooters. Some were terrible at defense. This team has plenty of good outside shooters who are good at the catch and shoot. They have good passers as well. Even the two biggest ball stoppers on the team (Kobe and Carmelo) are efficient enough at the catch and shoot that they work well when Lebron, Deron or CP3 are handling the ball. lol kobe. from what ive seen in this competition, i think other teams' best defense is to leave kobe open, D up the other 4 and hope coach K keeps giving kobe extended minutes like he's been doing. his garbage time display vs australia doesn't vindicate him at all, and he still plays no D.
lol dude, you are talking about kobe bryant. nobody leaves kobe open, not even in the nba.

then again, they haven't really been tested yet. maybe he's just coasting in 2nd gear, saving it for that "oh shit" moment. u know lebron's going to be clutch 4 quarters. iguodala can go hard for 4 quarters too and he's prob been itching to sub kobe

Well yeah Kobe is old now, and he is mostly coasting when he can due to pain we prob dont even know about, but when you absolutely need him he will be there, always will be.

One of my goals in life is to see Rudy Fernandez's face punched, really fucking hard.

Seeing these brickfests between other teams just shows that the US team so far is really winning due to offense. Spain shooting 20% for the first half...

yea shows what packin the paint can do. i can see kirilenko giving USA fits

i'm not sure who i'm going for...

wtf. this is a blowout given the shooting %
edit: lol ak47

Considering Spain isn't noted for its defense, I'd say it's a little of both. Spain's offense woke up in the second half but the Russians are having a bit of a meltdown offensively as well.

anyone got a link to a livestream (with english commentary)?
thanks

that 15 - 0 in 5 minutes is the spain i love. after making me suffer all game. ak looked like a fair gun, but spains defence with llull reyes calderon and san emeterio was electric, pitty of injured rubio for extra fast hands!

If you download Expat Shield (easy program to use/download) it will give you UK proxy so you can use the BBC coverage of the Olympics (they have quite a few livestreams for all of the events).
edit: I suppose I should clarify, to get to bbc's coverage you have to go to their website http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/2012/ - it's kind of a hassle to find what you want, but once you do it works pretty well.
