I have just noticed this, but all 3 EU teams are second seed, meaning that they won't play each other. Considering that they all have a chance in a bo5 against a 1st seed not called SKT, this is actually really good for them. Big chance we can actually make it to finals again.

The game vs SKT was similar, Uzi did a lot of poke damage but RNG got dumpstered long before Kayle came online. I also think RNG once again fell onto bad habits, they didn't explicity play around Uzi, but it felt like they were kinda hoping he'd pull a miracle out of the bag. As we've seen for years, that's never worked vs SKT...

You got me. I underestimated the power of week 2 EU also LCK has a chance to have 3 teams out of groups

I'd laugh fucking hard if TL knocks DWG out so I still end up being right accidentally. And honestly I don't think it was EU week 2 as much as Splyce was a shoe in, JT and GAM should have been absolutely free and its embarrassing they dropped maps to them at all. And Fnatic is legit one of the best teams on the planet, I think they could win the whole thing.

Woke up. It was doomed. Xiaohu hasn't been good in forever. He has some really good series but he's never had consistency. LangX played above my expectations for him tbh. Karsa played exactly how he played in China except unlike in China, his telegraphed pathing actually hurt him. Good teams know he's never going to gank for Langx and they play around it. Unfortunately, Chinese teams are either too prideful or too stupid to play safe vs Uzi. It's like TSM with Dyrus. Too good for NA (China in this case) but a playstyle that has natural flaws.

They might have to play G2 before that though, or G2 will have to face off SKT in semi. So they only have to play against one of them, everyone else should be easier.

Woah-woah hold on there pal Did we really watch the same games ? Fnatic has definitely not been impressive at all during group stage. Their 2 games against CG were painful to watch, definitely far from what they showed during LEC, the win against SKT I only saw some parts but SKT seemed too confident after their qualification, taking unnecessary dives and risks (jesus christ that Akali dive on Veigar, wtf went through Faker's mind). And the win versus RNG, honestly it seemed like all teams from group stages would have won as easily. RNG literally threw the game in champ select and refused to play the game at all, they never contested anything, they just offered the game to FNC it was painful to watch (Xiaohu least damage of the game as Ryze just how). Hylissang is a really good Pyke player, but what made him shine this game is just how passive RNG was, he could get away with pretty much everything he wanted. Now don't get me wrong, FNC did improve since first round : Rekkles stopped trolling by playing mages, and they made some good plays/decision making during the 2nd RNG game. They knew botlane was free (poke vs kill lane) and toplane was of least importance (I mean, they both were useless that game, with a little advantage for FNC with GP's ult), so Broxah focused on ganking bot to both get Rekkles and Hyli going while shutting down Uzi even more than their comp did. The way they also managed to get going while avoiding pretty much every teamfight (up until their lead was too much) was brillantly executed, thus really preventing RNG from any chance of winning (well not like they already had 5% of winning after champ select). Frankly all their games were disappointing, it feels like it was more their opponent losing the game than them winning it.
