The environment leading up to the exodus isn't something that's going to be easily replicable just because a bunch of foreign organizations are willing to shell out cash. We might still see some talent leave Korea this year, but the idea that Korea is going to annually bleed out 20 high-profile players from tier 1 teams + an indeterminate number of additional rookies and B-teamers seems very unlikely.

Um, I don't think Samsung exodus had anything to do with 1 team per org. For one, both teams left.

It's hard to know exactly, but one-team-per-organization enforcement predates anyone on either team leaving by like 3 weeks to a month. Obviously Samsung didn't just outright boot players for the rule, but it's not exactly unlikely that the decision for players to go to China was hugely impacted by the knowledge that at least 5 of them would be teamless before the start of the next OGN season.
Talking to Koreans at the time, I'd also heard there was some speculation that the reason that the teams got on board with the idea in the first place was to put pressure on Samsung for being the only organization that could produce 2 "good" teams (as Kespa is an organization of the teams before anything else and there's no other clear motive for the teams to be on board with forcibly having their teams disbanded). But that's mostly just that, speculation.

not sure how the kespa-ace agreement will impact matters. i figure for it to work soem magic the contract length has to increase in korea but they are still on the seasonal basis right now.

With a KR vs KR final I can see CSGO crushing Western viewership here, I can't imagine Riot are too happy with that. Absolutely no chance. CSGO viewership was hitting 800k+ before during finals, even if 95% are there for cases, lol. KRvsKR 3-0 stomp will hit around 350-400k max on Twitch + people can watch both games in same time.
Total viewership numbers are definitely going to be a ton lower across all streams. Many of the millions of viewers came from Chinese streams in the last two worlds, and thus are probably going to be halved this year (dno about the viewbots though).
And yeh, 300-400K viewers for Twitch is my estimate too.

I thought it was SKT vs KOO not Faker the movie.

The only interesting thing about this final is if Faker will make it not boring tho.

The match will become very interesting if KOO manage to break the perceived unbreakable SKT armor even once, so I guess the first game and the next if KOO wins will be interesting, otherwise not so much.

I believe this is the battle of the jungles more than anything else.

I know I'm like 3 months late but, WHO THE FUCK FIGURED THAT WHEN PEOPLE SAID THEY WANTED A MELEE ADC THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT MORDEKAISER?? No, man! We were taling about fucking Yi and MAAAAAYBE GP... not FUCKING MOIRDERKAISER, he was fine! You could FLASH Q E R and all was fine in this world WHAT THE FUCK! Now he's permabanned in competitive for some reason and he fucking sucks in top lane... Great balance!

I was too lazy to write up the draft analysis in full but looking through past games has shown a very clear pattern for Koo that will be super easy for SKT to spot and take advantage of (imo).
They played basically two compositions through all of groups and brackets. If Hojin was able to pick up Lee/Reksai/Elise, Pray got an immobile carry with global presence (either cait or jinx) with the exception of his two Caitlyn games, a game vs Pain where they basically styled with Mordekaiser, and the second game vs Flash Wolves where jinx was picked away in the first rotation. That game in particular, Koo seemed to be put off by the Jinx being picked away because their team comp didn't mesh very well with its individual elements or as a counter to the FW Protect NL comp.
On the other hand, if Hojin is forced into his Zac pick (or another similar jungler that we haven't seen yet), Koo turns into a team more reliant on scaling and carrying from the mid and top lanes. When Koo can't win 2v2 fights top/mid, they lose impact in TP parties in botlane, while the solo lanes only have to worry about junglers and occasionally midlaner roams. That style worked fine against Fnatic because Huni and Febiven didn't match up well in those games vs Smeb and Kuro, but against SKT it's very likely that the tendency to rely on solo laners when the jg pool is exhausted will be very expensive. Smeb/Marin are closely matched, but I'd bet on Bengi and Faker coming out on top of Hojin and Kuro. If Koo don't have another adaptation up their sleeve to cover Hojin's weaker champ pool, SKT will just roll over them

Idk.... if Koo plans on picking Zac... they better have a draft plan scenario in which they take Kalista away from SKT...by banning or taking her for themselves...I can tell you right now Zac will do jack shit if SKT manage to get their hands on Kalista

Mm yeah every time they've picked zac they also pick Kalista. Not sure if this is correct but it seems to be a case of Kali being safer as well as a little less farm dependent, and being a stronger lane presence to give Pray and Gorilla a shot at getting a lead with less help from Hojin.

I really want to take a nap, but it's too hard to sleep. I don't even expect a great series I'm just high on finals hype.
