You're overblowing it so hard. I'm really not. This goes into so much more than even just Faker's own feelings I haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg. Faker literally did not play a game in the finals and didn't even get a chance to earn MVP (both seasonal and finals MVP) which both have money rewards on top of the prestige by the way. Personally I'm astounded people aren't in an uproar about this because if this happened in ANYTHING else it would be highly controversial. Viewership numbers, league attraction... so many things tie into having the star player sit out. | ||

faker did look uncomfortable though. given eazyhoon's champ pool restrictions there's really very little chance that faker becomes disposable for skt. they would still be a better team if they simply played faker all the time and develop better synergy with him though. | ||

It's not like SKT T1, the most historied organisation in Korea doesn't pay salaries to players either, lol. If Faker has lower ego than casual user of LiquidLegends, I'm pretty sure that he's happy right now and going to rip through MSI. Champion once will be always champion. | ||

Tell people ahead of time faker won't play in a series and those numbers go down hard. SKT S was nowhere near as popular as this SKT team. Players care about everything - money, fame, status, winning. Certain players put different weightings on each of those aspects. To think faker is the most selfless player ever and only cares about his team winning would be naive. He definitely cares about his own status as being the best individual, and he didn't get to prove it today on a very important stage. There are certain limits to what a player would be okay with and I guarantee that he won't ever let SKT sit him out for an entire finals again. | ||

Yes, you're pissed about not seeing Faker play. We get it. Too fucking bad, GET were too shit to bring out Faker, and Ezhoon played great today. Let's hope Faker is at MSI.  | ||
