I think he was ok about easyhoon subbing for him to a certain extent but to the extent of not getting to play at all in the finals? That's really taking things too far.

yes, there'll probably be a transfer fee system.
but the rub is that in order for korean teams to take advantage of this they'll have to give players more secure contracts. they can only extract value from remaining duration of contracts. once contracts expire players are still free agents internationally.
(at least that's what i am assuming they may have some sort of slave labor system contrary to my expectations)

iirc the kespa/ace agreement also involved more inter-league games and promotions. that's a kespa asset and they could have used that to negotiate for more control over the draft system in korea, with implications on restrictions upon player movement.
for LPL they've already got like 100 koreans and there's simply no room to digest them. ACE is a league with top heavy power and restricting korean imports would hurt the lower rung teams more than it does the top ones. edg for example has like 4 korean mids in the entire organization, they are not hurting for new talent. so i could see this deal allowing kespa to keep more young players.

To be fair none of those guys were good at the time, like at all. Also even SSB with pawn over dade were not title contenders until their players started to peak.
