All in all, faker had more of an impact on the game than Bjerg did. Wolf, MaRin and Bengi carried the game though.

aww man, and i was hoping to see him around until TSM loses in bracket stage...assuming they even get there as for the game, fear/intimidation factor too much IMO. lots of unforced errors from TSM as for edg vs skt: i like how China fans are now silent, sandbagging excuse aside (OMG was apparently sandbagging but turns out, they're just bad. oh and SKT also has the ability to save their best prepared strats for bracket stages too). TBH I thought EDG's pick/ban kind of made sense - Trist is pretty safe early in comparison to, say, Jinx, Lulu/Trist is hard to kill late game, and EDG won games vs LGD off the backs of Sej/Gnar. Too bad Deft's Trist is garbage, Pawn plays Lulu like an assassin, their comp's dmg without Trist is low, and they'd have to survive SKT's midgame, which didn't happen oh and rofl 4 man L2 faker gank

Deft played a total number of 0 Trist games for the entire season, and the team has 0 damage without ad carry. Deft got absolutely dumpstered by Kalista and that's gg. Simply the worst possible P/B they could have had. Not banning Kalista/Rumble, pick lulu mid and trist adc. I genuinely can't think of any other possibility other than sandbagging.

I expect the same target bans every game from here on out and I'm interested in how they plan on fixing it in 12 hours. Rumble is the only thing left that he hasn't tried and that champion is more prone to ganks than anything else. Dyrus is what he is and that can't be fixed. What I need to see is Santorin making an effort to do something on the other side of the map when he sees the enemy jungler. This is their bread and butter in the LCS and while it won't work against superior teams like EDG or SKT, it can get them the win vs AHQ.

Not a good example for breaking down the impacts of the two players when neither was even close in deciding that game. The difference is that SKT no longer requires their mid player to carry, whether that be Faker/Easyhoon, while TSM still needs it, because they look clueless when he doesn't. Look at where the junglers were going that game. Bengi went top twice to trash Dyrus. Never helped mid till Marin was already way ahead. They did the same vs. EDG. Never helped Easyhoon mid. Just tried to put EDG's top and bot behind. This is a team that obviously no longer feels the need to secure Faker's lane. It doesn't even matter whether he gets behind. TSM, though? Santorin farms the jungle, roams mid 1-2 times, and then eventually decides to roam bot because he has no opening vs. Faker. They left Dyrus out to dry because hey, it's Dyrus. But then who are you going to get ahead? Mid? Bjergsen on Ziggs had no kill pressure on Faker except for a brief time around level 5. Bot? Disastrous dive. And even were you to get Turtle ahead, does Turtle ever carry TSM through the mid game? I haven't seen it. To use a Montecristo phrase - what is TSM's win condition? Dodging every gank early on and hoping for a mid-game rotational/team fighting advantage? But in that case, why give Dyrus such an easy to gank champion? Getting a 2k lead off of a lane swap? But then why run a Kalista lane and a Hecarim lane? You don't want Hecarim in a 1v2, and you don't want Kalista in a 2v1. Why pick those champs? TSM needs to understand what their style is, because presently, they don't have one.

He just wasn't playing poorly and played well given the situation.

SKT confirmed sandbagging i got an alternate explanation: EDG's P/B isn't as good as you think it is *edit* maybe we should just wait until bracket stages

They had a comp in mind but apparently they changed it because Deft decided they should play the Trist ...

Well, it shouldn't matter though, because clearlove is the true carry off edg, and he had sejuani. Obviously.
