Isn't Aaron that former WE coach known for deflecting blame? I don't know whether I'm willing to take him at his word.
But even in that case, it looks bad for EDG because it shows their coaches have no trust from their players, which itself shows the coach is bad.

I want you to change your sig to a link to Thooorin's youtube. Deal, but it is 1 week banbet. then you gotta keep the sig for the following month Okay, deal. User was temp banned for this post. It is done. aww man, and i was hoping to see him around until TSM loses in bracket stage...assuming they even get there as for the game, fear/intimidation factor too much IMO. lots of unforced errors from TSM as for edg vs skt: i like how China fans are now silent, sandbagging excuse aside (OMG was apparently sandbagging but turns out, they're just bad. oh and SKT also has the ability to save their best prepared strats for bracket stages too). TBH I thought EDG's pick/ban kind of made sense - Trist is pretty safe early in comparison to, say, Jinx, Lulu/Trist is hard to kill late game, and EDG won games vs LGD off the backs of Sej/Gnar. Too bad Deft's Trist is garbage, Pawn plays Lulu like an assassin, their comp's dmg without Trist is low, and they'd have to survive SKT's midgame, which didn't happen oh and rofl 4 man L2 faker gank EDG lost from P/B. Deft played a total number of 0 Trist games for the entire season, and the team has 0 damage without ad carry. Deft got absolutely dumpstered by Kalista and that's gg. Simply the worst possible P/B they could have had. Not banning Kalista/Rumble, pick lulu mid and trist adc. I genuinely can't think of any other possibility other than sandbagging. From what I heard with an interview with Aaron, they weren't sandbagging. They had a comp in mind but apparently they changed it because Deft decided they should play the Trist ... Well, it shouldn't matter though, because clearlove is the true carry off edg, and he had sejuani. Obviously.
Lol still jumping at every opportunity to take a jab at Clearlove when he played far better than both pawn and deft in both games?

I dont' think Clearlove did badly that game though. Him and Koro1 both played fairly well. Surprisingly I actually thought it was the Koreans this game that was very lackluster. Deft honestly played the worst I've EVER seen him play.

Sure there was a chance he was just making excuses. But the more likely scenario was just that they had a comp in mind and when asked if Deft was comfortable on champ X, he mentioned that he could play Tristana.

when edg switches out certain players their play changes completely.

Okay, so he has a few creds under his belt. But he's not able to control Deft from spoiling his plan?

Clearlove was one of the best things about EDG this entire day. If Pawn and Deft step up then we can see a real competitive series against SKT.

I am genuinely pretty disappointed in deft's performance, even in the game against AHQ he looked not very good for his standard. Meiko carried hard in the early game and Clearlove/Koro1 pretty much did 80% of the work mid/late game.

Lol still jumping at every opportunity to take a jab at Clearlove when he played far better than both pawn and deft in both games? It's not about taking jabs at clearlove, its about pointing out that the propagandists said he was by far the best jungle player here, that he consistently takes kills that other junglers would give to carries (hampering his team, bit making him look better in team fights), farms in the old meteos style (which he had to change once C9 faced real teams), and looks bad against good junglers that don't have pathetic lanes.
|
Eh, Deft was never the sort of player who gets way ahead in lane and then takes over the game from the cs advantage. You want Uzi/Imp for that. His main skill is positioning and team fight reading, which is what makes him so great on Jinx, Lucian, and Kogmaw. He's Namei 2.0. But it's not though this is a great patch for hypercarry ADCs. Pawn is the one who needs to step up, and also EDG's picks.
|
Pawn's champion pool is a problem right now. Even against LGD it was pretty exposed that he couldn't keep getting away with picking Fizz and TF that would just absolutely get dumpstered in lane against decent mids.

I would like to note regarding AHQ that prydz left half way through the season and that backstairs is apparently not really a coach, more an innerflame type dude who can interject his opinion but can't really control the team like kkoma does. After greentea stepped down he filled prydz's position as proper coach/anaylst, this probably is a reason why AHQ has rebounded so well.
