Unfounded matchfixing accusations are not welcome. Refrain from making off-the-wall accusations without concrete evidence. |
Things I learned today:
-Cool and GoGoing could probably carry a Zuna/Elementz botlane through group stages. -Loveling is a joy to watch when he doesnt shoot himself in the foot in the first 5 minutes of the game. -We just baaarely missed a chance to guarantee all 3 KR teams on the same side of the bracket and prevent an all-KR final. -Meteos still the best jungler in the west, by a pretty wide margin IMO. -Not even the Koreans can give Balls Rumble. -I'm super excited we're guaranteed another split of LMQ in the LCS. Win or lose their games are rarely not entertaining. -White Shield looks mortal, given that C9 was able to play them so close there's a decent chance OMG could be the God-Killer this tournament. -Blue and White are going to play the role of Jason Biggs' character in American Pie in the Quarterfinal matches.

Why are we guaranteed LMQ for another split? I assume they'll disband if Noname/Ackerman leave.

If noname and ackerman retire I want them to go out next split in the most hilarious way possible, we talking the dude in the jungle and zoonie at top.

Here's mine.
Did pretty well apart from the one retard pick where for some reason I thought TPA was going to show up way more than they did.
Also a smalllarge amount of salt directed at TSM may or may not have gone into these predictions.

I must have had my head under a rock, is this an actual thing that might happen?

Only one word springs to mind: lolwut What should be going through your mind is; ban irelia against wickd. His play is so awful when he doesn't have irelia I don't know why every team doesn't ban it against them for the rest of eternity.

I would say you only need two bans to make alliance a trash tier team: Lee Sin and Irelia.

Come on Wickd's a lot better than that. He can kinda play Ryze...
If I were drafting for Kabum I don't think there's a single pick I would have changed for then vs Alliance, great draft phase.

In the game C9 won vs. NWS I was so confused why C9 didn't just have a pink ward to put down every time they were sieging or when a fight was about to start. They didn't get caught by twitch but it would've been a lot easier if they just like.. put down a pink ward every time NWS showed aggression. Balls's rumble ults hit zefa almost every fight and was the biggest deciders in fights.

Ryze was perma banned/picked vs him and maokai in almost every game. I'm not defending him, but he really gets to much hate. Also you would think that 'the best western player' would draw more then one ban in whole group stage.

Hai really just needs one more champion. Something like Ahri that's safe and works into almost anything or something like Lissandra that works against things like Zed/Fizz and can be a pocket counterpick on red side against assassin players like Goong. It would make it near impossible to ban him out given Rumble isn't going to balls anytime soon.
Also as awesome as he is, Meteos needs to spend the off season working on his Lee Sin. Such a glaring weakness on a player with very few of them.

Doesn't play 3 most op mid laners in the game (Zilean/Yasuo/Zed) and prefer to play Fizz/Xerath for some reason. If you're world class midlaner you can solo carry games from mid lane on op champions.

I've heard so many tales after those years about Froggen champion pool, that i sometimes even start to believe in it. My only regret of this tournament is that Froggen didn't pick Karthus, like it tend to happen with EU midlaners when they run out of options.
But seriously. In season 2 Froggen played Karthus, Anivia, Ahri and Orianna. In season 3 Froggen tried to play Anivia and Lux, then played Zed, Ahri and Orianna again. In season 4 Froggen again started with Ziggs and Gragas, then we found out that he can play Kayle, Fizz, Yasuo and Zed, then Anivia, Ahri, Orianna and Xerath again, with random glorious perfomances on Twisted Fate just to forget again about this champion. Glorious champion pool, Faker is just crying in the corner.
Not blaming one of my favourite pros of all time but still, Wickd is getting too much flak for occassional bad performance. And those guys who're saying that Wickd should go.
Name at least 2 toplaners who're going to offer more than Wickd in whole EU. Doesn't matter, free agents or no.

Wickd might not need to go, but when his solo queue history looks like + Show Spoiler +
and you look at his performance on non-Irelia champions in groups... Yeah, there's a problem.

What's wrong with Fizz and Xerath? They are quite viable champions.
Can't really blame him for not playing Zilean when he actually has to carry the team himself most games. Maybe if you could guarantee Wickd on Irelia then Zilean might be a champion Froggen could practice but if Irelia is banned then that's not gonna happen.

I know that he is really good on Zed/Yasuo, but he doesn't play it in important games. He played Zed when no one played it with IE build. When he became top pick he didn't play him once. Typical Froggen hipster. Xerath is pocket pick that works only vs certain team comps and is extreamly hard to execute. Zed/Yasuo are straight up better then Fizz in almost every aspect and less risky. You can hard carry on Zilean. Faker does it / Cool does it. He didn't carry any game in group stage.

They didn't win but Froggen was excellent on TF in the first game against shield. Would have been a hard carry but Nyph and Shook were just too heavy.
