Despite the fact that I'm the biggest calitrlolz fanboi, I really don't want team 8 to make it into lcs, especially if cali is no longer going to play once they get in. Team 8 without cali is way worse than current Col

Why do you guys feel sorry for Sheep, he pretty much supported the roster swap of those 2 random koreans over Rhux and goldenglue.

Unicorn 3:1 Millenium tonight.

kind of sad to see how the scene doesn't move much, difference between lcs and challenger teams is too big due to the quality of the practice they get
|
Challenger teams are also making a fuckton of mistakes and trying too many weird shit (like Fizz jungle or Hecarim mid).

Yes after the recent games its pretty clear that the gap between lcs tems and challenger is pretty big. Even some said that T8 has better chances of winning I doubt that. Col had a long split time to get better playing vs LCS teams and at the end of the split COL really showed some strenght and I don't think they loose tonight. Same with millenium they usually play very well in relegation games for that sweet riot money.

Thing is that if T8 comes into LCS, they're going to be another Velocity with 5-23 in different proportions (assuming that LCS teams will play 18 games, something like 2-16), because CaliTrolz is their only real threat (Slooshi is worse Keane and Keane is overrated as fuck + maplestreet with all "talent hype" he gets, he's not better than any LCS adc right now and he's worse than Impactful as well, not going to say anything about DontMashMe because DMM blows).
coL have legit understanding of the game, they just lack mechanics and such teams tend to climb in their 2nd season.

In the defence of the challenger scene col looked like garbage vs a coast where one of their two good players had lost all will to live and zion in spite of westrice's best efforts couldn't 1v9. A split in LCS improved them miles and I wouldn't be surprised if h2k for example got so much better after a split

AAAaaaand we're back at the boring crap that is no or few new teams in the leagues. Sigh...

This is why I like adding 2 more teams with the expansion. Even if these teams can't compete at first you'll have 10 new players getting a ton of experience against good teams and players.
Instead of saying "lolololol Velocity 2.0" I think it's good to embrace the expansion teams as a chance to improve EU and NA.
We've seen this on a micro level. If players only got one shot to perform in the LCS we wouldn't have Pobelter or Aphromoo. If we add more teams you have more players learning how they need to play to compete at an LCS level, even if it means there's a split (or even two splits) where they get shit on.
This happens in professional sports too. Sometimes teams end up in a rebuilding phase where they bring in a lot of young players. These teams get crushed, sometimes even for a few years, but if they develop their players properly they eventually have a strong core of guys who are really strong. Then once you get this core you can look at signing some free agents to fill out the roster where you have weaknesses.
Obviously in the LCS there's only 10 teams and your team can get demoted and dissolved after a split, so teams can't afford to prolong that process. But, in my opinion, anything that adds to stability is good because you'll have the opportunity to develop players more instead of panic signing Koreans, etc.
