He got to the correct 3 items in the end, but lichbane -> void -> ancient golem -> deathcap doesn't seem like an optimal way to get there. I dunno, I'm just totally weirded out by the Ancient golem on TF, because TF has so much CDR already built into his kit, it doesn't seem like an amazing item on him, certainly not worth delaying deathcap/zhonyas in my opinion. | ||

The CDR was removed in 3.7. Ancient Golem is just a really efficient item. I think Dogs realized they were against a burst team and wanted tankiness. Giant Belt items don't fit TF so he went with Ancient Golem for HP. Edit: Shen'd | ||

Ah, fair enough. I was playing fire emblem and wasn't really paying attention for some parts of the game. Didn't see his mid-game items, only his end ones  I think the golem choice was still not a bad one though. Against the burst-heavy team, all he and tabzz really had to do was just survive the initial damage and cc, and they'd win the fight and chase afterwards. But I guess maybe they wanted to close it out quickly though, so instead of farming all day for GA or whatever, they bought a relatively cheap and efficient survival item and went for the win. | ||
