After assessing all the comments from EU Day 1, we've decided to put a warning in regards to any bashing of commentators and cameraman. If you have nothing constructive to contribute, don't post. You are always welcome to mute the stream. Understand that this is just the beginning and production is a work in progress.

I don't think there's ever been a point in time when Nyph wasn't regarded as amazing at support though. I remember way back in S1 when people were going nuts about how Nyph+CandyPanda were the best botlane in Europe (although they never really delivered on that praise lol).

What was the logic behind the four randuins? Just, "hey they have tons of AD so let's all build randuins!"

great active, great passive, lots of health.

imo randuins>warmogs for AD carries for defense in any situation except against fed/double AP comps. It gives a huge chunk of health and armor, which lets you out-dual any other AD carry on equal farm. The active is also a pretty good self-peel.

Just had to.

Haha, lol. I don't feel so bad now, thanks for saying this.

2-1 & 2-1, I think this season's going to be interesting. Maybe EG should stick to farm/late-game style huh?

EG can switch there styles and i think its good for them to do so but it takes time to learn. Mostly tho what strikes me at there team is that there is no game plan. Its 5 random champions without a greater plan behind them.

There was a clear early game plan. Cripple Oce, get his turrets and don't let him get farm. It doesn't look like they expected Nyph to get uberfarmed against Wickd Akali though. So they didn't have a clear midgame plan because they weren't ahead and couldn't really punish, because Shen ult denies assassinations on Kass/Olaf, and Ezreal was just afk farming bot without anny attention from Froggen/Snoopeh/Krepo.

I still think that Jayce pick was really bad. They could have had Froggen play AP Kayle to play the comp similar to their previous Akali game.

Putting froggen on an AD, was an easy call to get randuins for everyone. And yes, he badly needed LW.

Well there was like no source of magic damage except for part of akali, Randuins just get better the more you stack the actives, and are also the best defensive item in the game (yeah I said it, fuck you mogs), unless you have going vs double ap.
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's more effective health than warmogs when against physical damage.

That's not fair to say looking at this game. He was playing Kassadin vs Lulu Jayce mid. No way to do well in that position early, and he still did his job in mid skirmishes.

The active is unique though right? So you'd have to like time your actives one right after the other. Which is definitely possible but I can't imagine too many teams, least of all SK, perfectly timing their randuin's actives two seconds apart.

Unless I'm doing my math wrong, Randuins alone only gives ~800 effective hp against physical damage, warmogs gives 1k hp.

However, Randuin's active is really goddam strong.

I don't imagine it'd be that hard though. I mean, Olaf/Kassadin would be blowing their randuins on their targets, so it's only Ez/Shen that has to time it. Timing 2 randuins isn't hard.

I actually strongly disagree, EGs teamcomp was good, Jayce/Cait poke, into Akali/Xin dives sounds great on paper, but they allocated all of their resources Jungle support and Blue buff to a lane that is without any help a 7-3 mabye even 8-2 matchup. They could have given froggen blue and ran standard lanes (or even swapped which would have been ideal as lulu cait pressure towers crazy hard and it would keep olaf away from god mode.

instead they gave everything to mid, gave away bottom lane and Olaf eventually outscaled Akali.

at this point they needed to give more gold to Xin because their only chance was to make something equally unkillable, but instead as per usual for EG they when behind started taking all of Snoopeh's farm and made him soak exp at best.

tl;dr not the champions, but the choices.

Their item choices, especially on Froggen, were not that good either. Muramana did nothing for Froggen, who desperately needed LW. I understand that he needed the mana Tear/Muramana provides, but he was hogging blues so it wasn't that helpful. Muramana also doesn't buff his Q damage. Then Akali got a Warmogs over Zhonyas/Randuins, which imo was also very questionable.

Randuins gives 500 hp and 70 armor. So that means it gives 500*1.7 EHP against physical damage, which is only 850. This is discounting the passive slow.

Warmogs gives straight up 1k hp with incidental regen.

That's a sloppy calculation you have to take into account the current health and armour values.

2k hp 100 armour = 4k ehp
3k hp 100 armour = 6k ehp
2.5k hp 170 armour = 6.75k ehp

Randuins, is, of course, much superior against physical damage. Warmogs is better against a mix.
