Keep the rage to a minimum. This includes wait times between games, music, and balance.
Fair warning to all. |

I have to agree with you and I wonder if this would have been as big a story if it was TSM on the other side that got the help from cheating. Even though Dyrus admitted to looking at the screen himself. I expect someone to tell me it had no effect on the game, but he cheated too did he not? Oh wait, you only get warnings if cheating doesn't help you!
This is just ridiculous and just magnifies the disgust I have for the E-sports community in general with how much crap they give to the asian teams just because they win more. It's not like they win more because they cheat/have better genetics or anything else, they work harder for it, are modest and don't deserve the poor fan reactions they get.

Chronology:
The game was paused to deal with audio/microphone malfunctions with the AzF headsets. During the pause:
TSM Chaox said that he had witnessed a member of AzF looking at the venue screens during the game. Referees didn’t independently corroborate these allegations. TSM Dyrus looked back and up at the venue screens.
The match was then restarted as a result of AzF’s inability to fully communicate in-game (mic malfunction). Prior to the restart, referees directed both teams to look forward at all times during the match.
After the restart, TSM left its base en masse, appearing to be invading top lane/brush. At 00:15 on the game clock, Woong of AzF looked back and up to his right at the venue screens. At 00:25 on the game clock, an AzF player pinged near the lane between TSM’s top inhibitor tower and the second top lane tower.
They each received a warning for this game, and it was restarted. Frost decides to do it again even after the warning. Upgrades their warning to the fine. Its not an Asia against the world issue.

Would be why why Dyrus received a warning, the game that is in question with his glance was restarted anyways. How they managed to fail to catch the second time Frost did it is beyond me. I guess as well this could be Frost's first warning as well. Then they did it again, after receiving their warning, thus earning them the fine.
So, you`re telling me Dyrus cheated based on these rules? Whether the game was restarted or not, he cheated by looking at the screen did he not? The game wasn't restarted because Dyrus looked up, it was restarted because of a malfunction. What if that game wasn't restarted and they kept playing while Dyrus got to look at the screen? Then he gets a warning? How does that make sense to anyone? Basically attempt to cheat all you want, but you only get punished if it works.
Earning them a 30k fine that is almost double the fines you see in professional sports leagues where players make literally 100x more than these gamers? If this fine scales up and hits them for 200k, this tournament would be an even bigger joke.

No, it's 30k. The 30k figure is calculated from their 20% of CURRENT winning.
If they win the whole thing they get 1 mil minus 30k. So yea.

I have no respect for Riot, and I would suggest you all take the same stance. Makes it incredibly easy to stomach things like this. You just tell yourself "Yep, Riot. Didn't expect anything better"
Shame I enjoy playing LoL so much. If not for that, I wouldn't spare a second thought about them.

bottom line is that they shouldn't have made it easy for them to see the minimap. they can even use the goddamn rotating stage to rotate it away from the minimap, holy crap so easy, easier than aphro playing support.
the crowd interaction sounds stupid. just use peripheral vision to gauge crowd reaction on facechecks. and besides they're so focused on playing the game anyway that they don't have time to hype up the crowd or do whatever. like it just makes no sense to want to be both part of the crowd and isolated to avoid cheating. you can't have both. makes zero sense.

1. The World Championship Competition Rules, Paragraph 9.1, prohibit unsportsmanlike behavior.
a. Penalties, as set forth in Paragraph 9.2, include, without limitation:
i. Verbal Warning ii. Prize Money Deduction
1. Minor infraction: 5% of World Championship prize money 2. Major infraction: 20% of World Championship prize money
iii. Loss of Side Selection iv. Game Forfeiture v. Tournament Disqualification
2. Referees directed all players to face forward throughout the competition. Both teams received their warning for that game. Dyrus didn't look at the screen during the next game. Frost did, earning them their fine. Fact is the game Dyrus looked was reset. What if they ended up winning the series. Well they would be in the same situation as Frost is right now.

Chaox raging on his stream atm "Ruling is a slap on the wrist for Frost and a slap to the face for esports" guess I'd be pissed too if I thought I was wronged out of $1000000, though I really doubt TSM would've won anyways

Yeah! How dare they fine Frost a ton of prize money and force them to give it to charity in Korea! What jerks, or are we talking about it not being enough? You wanted a DQ? Rematch? What exactly?

Yes Riot probably did fine them because of the community. If Riot had noticed it themselves they probably would have restarted the game as Riot assumed their referees were enough to catch cheating which it obviously wasn't. Community points out Frost doing shady glancing and pings which Riot learns about later. A review happens and it's already too late and problematic to restart. Community being upset was deserved, you're just looking for an excuse to make the community look bad.
