Forum Index > LoL Tournaments |
At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012

Pointing fingers at who the bad player on the team is isn't terribly constructive when they're real problem is teamwork. Stuff like groupin badly, playin indecisively, missing objectives. Yep. Reginald is probably the biggest problem since he controls TSM's life but is often completely unwilling to accept blame or not flip his shit at criticism.

But seeing how inefficeint TOO plays and builds is REALLY painful for someone who is touted (incorrectly at this point) as a top 3 jungle in the world. He's probably given in to Regi's solo queue rage style of "OMG JUNGLER WHY YOU NO CAMP MY LANE 24/7 THIS IS WHY WE ARE LOSING!" So then TOO does camp lanes (often for MINUTES at a time) and gets absolutely nothing done, while also falling way behind in farm. I also feel TOO plays way too passively. I've never heard him make any calls for objectives in any scrims or even in solo queue. The jungler typically should have the best map awareness on the team and thus should be able to make calls and take control of the map. There also needs to be greater team coordination in general. Kinda like how CLG.eu against M5 in Kings of Europe, where CLG.eu had their jungle entrances warded and would send FOUR PEOPLE ON THEIR TEAM just to secure their own blue, knowing that M5 would send several people to try to steal it and forcing disadvantageous team fights for M5.

I pointed out a main disadvantage, they don't have a proper leader. Xpecial should make a good one and support is by far the best role for a leader(jungler too), however the people wouldn't listen to him. They also need to have only one person taking care of picking etc. I don't think Reginald as a leader is going to work, at least judging by how the scrim voicechat between the team has been going on. Then again if they don't humble it up(Regi, TRM, TOO) they just might not be able to play highly competitively at all.

There's still a lot up in the air with who will advance, but the only certainty is that either SK or M5 will advance. I didn't really go past head-to-head tiebreaker rules since I think you need stuff like game lengths at that point. It's head-to-head I believe. Running scenarios (assuming Ehome loses every game): TSM beats SK, M5 beats SK, Crs beats Sypher: M5 advances... I think after that it's determined by timers, because Crs beat TSM, TSM beat SK, and SK beat Crs. TSM beats SK, Crs loses to sypher TSM, M5, SK advance Crs beats Sypher Crs, M5, SK advance. TSM loses to SK SK, M5, Crs advance Edit- dammit, didn't notice someone already did that.

Im guessing based off the results that TSM is (still) off, SK actually looks decent, and M5 is currently getting the benifit of beign the only decent team in a group that cant deal with their teamplay. TSM v M5 was a stomp. TRM choose Irelia... M5: Ashe, Janna, Lee, Kennen, Vlad TSM: Kog, Nunu, Udyr, Ahri, Irelia Early laning phase was in favor of TSM. They could defend their jungle with odd on Udyr and even managed to pick up the first dragon with a 2 for 1 exchange in their favor. From there they lost momentum. M5 took two towers and regi (Ahri) got outplayed in mid by Alex (Kennen). TSM seemed a bit tilted after that and gave the next dragon away for free, despite not being behind. M5 baited baron at around 21 minutes. TRM and odd rushed in and M5 in their typical fashion just immediately jumped on them and managed to drop TRM. TSM continued to try to "interrupt" baron, loosing two more people for nothing and finally giving baron away. From there on M5 pressured mid and took tower after tower. TSM lost two more teamfights at their own towers before having to tap out with M5 taking down the nexus. Both teamfights played out in very similar fashion. M5 waited for one member of TSM getting slightly out of position. Used an ashe arrow to engage, Kennen jumps in and ults, followed by Vlad ult.

Actually even in solo queue in 1400 at EUW people are going to time blues and ask for people to secure it, for instance if its the purple blue you usually have 4 people securing it at the moment it spawns and that way you get them, I really don't even know at what point people don't even secure them properly anymore. Maybe 1200 elo? But as TSM should be a pro team that's really strange if they don't bother.
