I dont know what i would do if those tournaments actually started on time. I always oversleep and still am ready to go even before they even start. I just hope they can get their issues solved completely. Playing LoL with a ping over 150 is not that good.

Looks like it starts in about 5 minutes if I got the Phreak gesture correct.

From Australia I only ever get 170 ping at best, normally 190 It's perfectly playable... But maybe not so good at a pro level where you are used to <50 ping...

Yeah im confused, me and everybody else plays with 120 ping from the East coast seeing as the servers are in LA. 150 is not bad at all

Man if v8 gets represented I know we could have had a TL team if people really wanted to. So sad that we don't have a pro/semipro team anymore. (Not that v8 is bad or anything, <3 Eski)

Real lack of motivation.

ScY was trying to get TL back together like 2 days ago. I told him no and I think everyone else did too. TL was a great time. We laughed, we cried, we earned esports $$$, we beat Unrestricted and lost to Jpak and friends. Those memories will live forever, but our time has passed and there's no point to getting us back together.

So like I said... lack of motivation. lol
We have enough people (not counting guys like LoCi and Loco) from TL that play LoL at high enough a level to compete if we wanted. The skill's there, but not the interest.

I kinda like that the matches are played one patch behind. Why? it makes easier for the team and allow the teams to not to worry about the next patch that might ruin their strategies. Xerath patch is not that big but still patches allow some meta switches and will just caught a lot of teams offguard. What's the point of practicing strategies when a patch will/might just void it.

Wait, 150 is considered high ping for LoL?

I play with 180 all the time O.O

Other than Voyboy's post does anyone have any idea when the games will start, I am so late and fortunately enough the games haven't started yet. Still makes me wonder when they finally will start......

What server are they connected too? I play in New York state as well and I know that one of the LoL servers is in NYC and I get 50 ping. How is the internet that bad there. I get better pings at my local Barns and Noble.

I think they have a special server set up for tournaments, with spectator client and so on. At least i hope so. Everything else would be stupid. Just because Blizzard does it, does not mean it makes sense :-p

Pretty sure there are also servers in NYC from what i've heard. I play with about 50-80 ping depending on how many people are on my home internet.

You play with 150-180 ms? That's like unplayable for me, always on 40-50 max, lol.

I'm so happy there are so many LoL events recently, always entertaining to watch it Just came back from work, gonna grab some stuff and let's go :D

Thanks Daniel. Wow I had assumed it was something to do with the streaming that used up huge amounts of bandwidth. It is amazing to think that a convention centre can't handle 10 games of lol when 5 of us can sit around my kitchen table and play quite happily.

I play 40ms on Europe and 180ish on US. It's noticeable, but still playable. I could see it being a problem at the tip top end though

Its all about what you're used to. Over the summer I'm in hawaii and play with 200 ping on good days. I can play really well with that when I'm used to it. During the year I'm in texas with 90. I play well with that too, but the first week after changing locations its really hard to CS, to hit skill shots, and even hard to path properly through creeps and juke.

Comfort is really important.

That's the main reason the Xerath patch had so few changes. Riot wanted to keep the live patch as close as possible to the tournament patch since IEM Guangzhou, IPL, and IEM NY are so close together. If they make really big changes for the Xerath patch, then the teams are not getting the 'proper' practice for the tournament realm.
