We laughed, we cried, we earned esports $$$, we beat Unrestricted and lost to Jpak and friends. Those memories will live forever, but our time has passed and there's no point to getting us back together. So like I said... lack of motivation. lol We have enough people (not counting guys like LoCi and Loco) from TL that play LoL at high enough a level to compete if we wanted. The skill's there, but not the interest.

Why? it makes easier for the team and allow the teams to not to worry about the next patch that might ruin their strategies. Xerath patch is not that big but still patches allow some meta switches and will just caught a lot of teams offguard. What's the point of practicing strategies when a patch will/might just void it.

How is the internet that bad there. I get better pings at my local Barns and Noble. I think they have a special server set up for tournaments, with spectator client and so on. At least i hope so. Everything else would be stupid. Just because Blizzard does it, does not mean it makes sense :-p

I play with about 50-80 ping depending on how many people are on my home internet.

I could see it being a problem at the tip top end though

Over the summer I'm in hawaii and play with 200 ping on good days. I can play really well with that when I'm used to it. During the year I'm in texas with 90. I play well with that too, but the first week after changing locations its really hard to CS, to hit skill shots, and even hard to path properly through creeps and juke. Comfort is really important.

That's the main reason the Xerath patch had so few changes. Riot wanted to keep the live patch as close as possible to the tournament patch since IEM Guangzhou, IPL, and IEM NY are so close together. If they make really big changes for the Xerath patch, then the teams are not getting the 'proper' practice for the tournament realm.
