Diving isn't necessarily sloppy. A flash+ult by Galio or Amumu or Alistar is a perfectly legitimate initiation even if it's a tower dive.
But the dive by Garen you referred to was definitely sloppy, yes.

Your only option there is to dive and hope you can outplay them in the subsequent fight.
This.
There was litterally nothing they could have done last game, other than blow summoners and dive. If I failed wait for them and try again. Top Team kept getting baron whenever they could, mostly because they knew that if they got engaged on at Baron it was most likely and easy win for them. Simply because there was no tower to help.

Well, grag and TF were the last 2 picks. Vayne was ehome's last pick - which I thought should have been a Kog or something. That's the only questionable pick. I doubt they've played that grag/tf defense much.

I don't think diving is sloppy when, given the picks and the game-state, it's literally the only option you have. You can't split-push vs. TF + Gragas with TP, and you can't siege them because you don't have the range to hit the tower safely, and you can't trade farm/objectives until everyone's on 6 items because your 6-item lategame isn't definitively better. Your only option there is to dive and hope you can outplay them in the subsequent fight. Again, I think it's an issue of them having questionable picks/not playing their overall game-plan out effectively, but that's not an issue of sloppy play in the local scenario at hand. Also, I would argue that Garen Flash->Q is the much safer initiate than Sona Flash->ulti. If Sona Flash->Ults, and Gragas has good enough reaction time, he ults her, and she insta-dies before the fight can even start. If that happens to Garen, he still lives for a fucking long time before they can kill him.
Then Morg+ZGlass? I dunno, Garen initiation is just... so bad.
Then again, maybe if they had picked Ashe this wouldn't have been a problem.

Just realized the Chinese teams dont pick/ban Lee Sin at all. how odd.

Not sure Saint's the appropriate person to mention, and I don't think "laughed at" is the right wording.
Warwick is one of Saint's favorite solo queue junglers of choice.

So prety much: vayne was a bad pick.
Yeah, Caitlyn would have been perfect.

Diving is ok. The Garen dive that got them almost aced was really dumb. Fiddle getting killed while trying to kill ward near enemy tower was dumb. WE dicking around Baron and not going in but not going out either was dumb.
Both teams are definitely good. Not gonna try and say if they're better or worse than NA/EU teams. Both teams just did a lot of dumb stuff that last game.
