It was the "3rd/4th" place match for Group A. Real derp game, you didn't miss much.

The last two games were also scheduled to start 5 minutes apart, so it wasn't too surprising that they ended around the same time.

So it looks like thats all for today. Hopefully I caught some more live games tomorrow.

OT - Its been fun for me to watch the DotA2 games. Ive been playing a side game called "Hey I remember that" since the game has changed dramatically since I last played (DotA 3.7 on WC3 vanilla).

Only recommended game today would probably be TSM v M. All the other matches were yawnrapes.

JBright, you'll be able to make the Day 2 thread as well? ^^

I didn't think this thread would get long enough to warrant a new thread (part of the reason why I didn't put down 'day 1' in the title), but I could definitely do that.

I was thinking maybe I could put a link in the OP beside the day 2 stuff to the page we start talking about those matches, but it's up to you.

Made sense to me. o_o

Wriggle's on AD is still situational though.

Faster IE vs wriggles bf sword. Only thing he's really using it for is faster dragon. If they didn't have stronger jungling, it's useless. Well, wards. That's good I guess.

The lifeleech helps the "they have soraka we have janna" problem too, and none of the stats are really worthless. armor, AD, and the ability to choose to push the lane crazy fast aren't exactly useless stats/traits in the bot lane battle either.

A nice thing about Wriggle's is that it gives as much lifesteal as a BT with 12 kills on it without requiring the kills. So you can go Wriggle's -> IE and still heal up off of creeps pretty dern fast.

What? It was Cait Soraka vs Ashe Janna. Cait barely maintained a 10 cs lead for the majority of the game.
Cait Soraka should have CRUSHED that lane (that's why they toyed with Ashe mid, but Udyr Janna seems to have had even bigger problems, unsurprisingly), but did not.
If you have a good reason to disagree with the above, please tell me. Thank you.

I was surprised at how closely Chaox managed to hold cs wise to that Cait to be honest. That theoretical lane advantage and the mess with lane swapping and all considered, the bot lane for Millenium definitely didn't accomplish what they needed to do.

Wonder why they kept Jax up top against Regi.

They expected soraka/jax bot since a couple NA teams have been doing that.

Jax got man handled top even though he would actually have had be okay vs udyr with early nunu support.

You guys read a tiny too bit too much into the wriggles. It's just a sustainer. The constantly ward is worth 5 gold/10 so its a way of getting some extra income early on an AD carry while not having too much stat wasteage.

One of the hidden benefits of wriggles is it reduces the burden on support for gold. When you have 3 wriggles, that's 3 free wards. This makes it so that the support can either afford to ward better, or can afford to get a little more gear.

Supports are already gold starved, and is why people get 5g/10 items on them. With triple wriggles its a way to give your support a little more gold to work with without giving them any CS.

I noticed that Xpecial's Janna was able to buy a negatron cloak and a blasting want in the last game. You wouldn't normally see that much gold from a support that has to provide all the wards for his team.
