I found that when I lane v Darius he uses the long range grab thing to zone me off CS. If i go in to last hit, he grabs me and kicks my a@$. If I don't last hit, I obviously fall behind. I've been trying to just use q to finish off low minions and at least get some CS, but I'm not sure if this is correct. I've also tried whittling him down with Q then going all-in, but this seems very iffy and even if I have a lot more health than him at the start of a fight he seems to win the all-in fights most of the time. Other problem is he seems to have a lot of built in health regen so its hard for me to get him low to start with. What's the right way to play this lane?

its a touch matchup, and you will lose some CS and you won't be able to win a 1v1 with him. you should only be able to kill him in ganks or if he fucks up massively. thing is you will be more useful in fights even if hes ahead some CS so just wait for TP opportunities. if you don't see many, just wait out till the lane is over and you will have a slightly more farmed darius vs a decently farmed ekko (he also doesn't have much kill potential if you play it safe) which isn't too bad. ekko brings more to teamfights.

-If he ever gets 5 stacks you are fucked -If you trade and let him Q you with the blade you are fucked (he heals 12% missing hp) -If you let him snowball you're fucked Here's the good news -Darius has no real escape if you you win the all in he basically dies -If your jungler comes and you didn't fuck up enough that he can 1v2 Darius dies. -He is highly outplayable because of his lack of mobility and reliance on hitting Q blade. -His E cooldown is 24 fucking seconds at rank 1. That's essentially he gets to use it once per wave. How I'd play ekko vs darius: Your main play should be to harass him with Q or passive procs enough that you can all-in him or zone him away. You can try to E in or wisely save it if your slows won't be enough to keep him from kiting you to his blade. If you can land stun it'll help all in him while saving E. -Use your jump auto thing to ensure he never gets to hit a blade Q when you are actively fighting him -Use your jump to avoid his Q's when you are just trying to farm. You can choose to reengage with the auto IF he used pull and tried to Q blade you when you run away -Don't ever try to trade until he uses pull; he will trade back and then pull you back in at 5 stacks and you're fucked -If he does pull you can try to all-in, trade, or jump away instantly. Whichever you think is best. If he doesn't get much damage done it's only once per wave and you can fire Q's to harass him back to make it even. -Once pull it used you should be able to get a 3 stack passive and easily escape -You can probably use R when he's about to ult you and fuck his whole day up. -If he tries to zone you without using pull he's more open to harass or having to fight in your creep wave which ekko can abuse using slows to keep him from getting damage or running from the creep damage. Ekko excels at troll-reengaging: here's the general pattern Step 1: Harass the guy with annoying jumps and slows and such Step 2: Do a "bad" all-in Step 3: Escape with some of your stupid jumps/slows/stuns/speed boost Step 4: When he's chasing you, as soon as your CDs are back you press R (your past self should be close to him so you get the nuke), spam all your shit and finish him with the second Phase-Drive-Resonance and your extra damage against low hp targets bonus points if you fire a stun field which he thinks is to help you escape and you R back into it with shield and kill him.

Late game i won easily, but early game left me with a question: what's a 'good' build path for trundle against ranged ap like lissandra? should i build cowl first and then go to ravenous? Or spirit visage first item? Or maybe hexdrinker? I built pure damage, but was bullied quite hard. Cowl first so you get a bit of sustain from getting hit by Q spam then hydra.

you shouldn't worry about getting damage items early on trundle you won't get to hit much if they have lissandra anyway

I tested earlier today. I had 305 AP as Karma and with 4 censors my E shield was at least 640 HP. Probably higher. (Tested by taking damage and shielding until the shield filled my HP bar.) The mantra E shield was at least 1400 HP. And would have been 1200 if it were additive. Edit: which is to say it's multiplicative.

One of such situation that happens once every 3 or 4 games is when the game drags out into 60+ minute slugfests, when everyone got their full build and have a few k floating around. I usually like to learn from watching pros, but the pool of games to watch is smaller than i would like. Please answer my questions assuming we all have 5k gold in the bank. So first off, a few general questions maybe people can answer without going into the specifics. 1. Boots: to sell or not to sell? 2. What about jungling items? Having two smites seem less important, and the stats can be replaced with better items possibly? 3. What items are not as gold efficient, but offer the most stats and benefits? Here's a more specific example: I play Shyvanna and my build goes something like bloodrazor-skirmisher, merc boots/swift boots, titanic hydra, randuins, visage, zzrot portal (Others include thornmail, locket of solari, wits end). 4. How would you replace this set of items, and in what order? I understand changing items would also change how I would have to play the champ, but I think I can do that. Thanks!

Always make sure your team got a Locket, heck it doesn't hurt to have two (aura stacks on the guys having them) and you can chain the shield. The passive and shield are so strong, it's probably the most slot efficient item in the game. Only time you shouldn't get it is if the opponent's team is basically 100% physical - and even then they often still put out a decent amount of magic damage (Ezreal for instance). If you're not sure when to pop it's active just do it whenever a fight starts regardless of how many allies it tag. On Shyvanna I'd consider going for a Mallet to replace Bloodrazor. Your job is to cause havoc on squishies since you have essentially no form of peel or crowd control, Mallet is much better for this than Bloodrazor it boosts Titanic too. Jungle items are super cost efficient, but not slot efficient (but I suppose Bloodrazor are against a team with 3 tanks). They would be the first item I would consider to replace. Boots are a game to game choice, sometimes you are forced into having Mercs since their team is overloaded with CC. Sometimes they all got slows and you want Swifties, sometimes you need Tabi and so on. You can replace them against team which dont really have much of anything, I'd always go for something with movement speed as their replacement - something with Raptor Cloak, Zeal Item, Glory or some such. Dont be locked into a "I must get this and that in this order" mindset. Getting a Locket as 2nd item can often be the by and large best choice, you can get it much earlier than your support and against an AP top, jungle and mid it's a million times better than anything else (unless you're monster fed and can just do whatever you want). Sometimes you need to (or rather can) forsake a damage build for full out tank, if you already got plenty damage on your team the havoc you create will lead to more damage than you would add on your own. If you want to keep a jungler item, I would go for the Cinderhulk-Sightstone - the bonus HP scales very well with items and vision gets increasingly more important since long games always come down to one single fight and it's usually the one who get the initiative who wins. Lastly, ALWAYS remember stat pots exist and use them whenever you have the slightest feeling a fight might break out (aka always in soloQ).

If the GA pops, should I sell it again for something else until it comes back up? Which pot is better? I would take iron if I don't have merc, but what about when I do? Slot efficiency! Yes that's ]what I am looking for:D

-forgetting to use actives when swapping is a pet peeve of mine, I see too often people swap trinket when they have two stacks on yellow... Just use the bloody stacks somewhere within range of your recall at least. Grrr If you're using Mercs it's because you're against a team with CC and you can just pick up Iron anyway since the tenacity stacks multiplicative, I suppose they didn't want a CC immune Irelia ![]()
