Yeah but you're not going to have just tanks sitting around with nothing else there. Once the Adapt teleports in the biggest damage will be off potential friendly fire. Hellions will still be there to kill the Adapt.

Of course, all im saying is protoss has a lot of ways to engage really, really well vs mech, or so it appears for now. Even just getting one tank volley on adepts instead of immortals/archons could be huge.

Blizzard gave protoss 2 more units that are good at exploiting siege tanks. The adapt and disruptor? Adapt just tickles armored units and I don't think the Disruptor one-shots tanks.
The Disruptor ability allows it to get on top of tanks, it doesn't one shot the tanks but it does leave them with only 15 hp and the splash is big enough to hit 3-4 tanks. Tanks either have to unsiege to kill it or if surround tanks can attack it the splash damage end up killing off the 15 hp tanks.

Adepts aren't going to be alone either. I like that the hard counter in hardened shield was removed but protoss still has too many options that are good vs siege tanks and mech in general.

Forgot about these. Carriers and tempests will also give mech a hard time. Mass cyclones might solve the anti air problems, but I'm not looking forward to it because I don't like the unit. If feels like a mix between the vulture and goliath but less fun than either one of them.

That said, all of those can be countered with good tank spread and positioning, so at least it's a more interesting mechanic than now.

what i especially fear about the new economy is that it requires maps to be bigger because the player need more bases which may result in more passive games with less early aggression.

keep in mind all this stuff is still in beta....they could wipe adebts shade ability altogether....could make it slower, all kinds of stuff could happen along with the fact that there is another terran unit still up for grabs that could easily complement mech play

I think it is 8, people are saying how it has +4 armor now from his upgrade, while he starts with 1 and gets +3 from carapace upgrades. Unless people are mistaken and he gets +3 from his upgrade.
If it stays like that, you will definitely need Widow Mines, Cyclones, Tanks and Thors to deal with Ultralisks, Marauders won't cut it now and Marines will just tickle Ultras.

The point we were both making is that it is incredibly weird that the beta starts tomorrow and we don't even know how to DL the client, when it starts or anything else. I could really kind of care less since I have a 100meg fiber optic service, but it does make you wonder about the way the information has been provided so far.

It'll appear on the Bnet launcher when your account is flagged. There's going to be a new Region for the LotV beta. At least that's what it was like for the D3 RoS and WoW Beta.

I feel bad that im still not hyped for this release. I feel the cores sc2 issues are still not solved. I like the mineral patch changes and starting workers, but thats about it. Lurkers back seem ok, protoss units seem really not interesting (great a leblanc in Sc2 that I think will barely see play, seems likea nerfed version of a DT), weird exploding air unit and changes not that interesting. Reavers not coming back and collusus still in the game.
Im not sure if Im missing something, but i still dont feel it wil lbe so much of a different game than it currently is. Am I wrong?
