I'm a bit confuse with the Yi Alpha strike change. If you are in a 1v1 duel, do you strike the 4x the same target ?

Yeah I think so. I'll check in a practice game later, but a 75% damage increase on single target which is kinda insane. I guess this also makes his jungle clear a lot better depending on where the bonus damage is applied.

Slightly made up for by the 10% AD nerf. It puts a lot more of his damage into alpha for 1v1 in combination with the rageblade nerf.

The Runic Echoes buff is nice but I still preferred the old AP JG item with MS.

Yuumi seems.... Awful. Her numbers feelso incredibly low its almost ridiculous. Like your Q level one does less damage than an auto attack from a caster minion and the cooldown is so long. I think you lose trades even if you manage to get into 500 auto range without being hit to proc shield aggressively, and then manage to use your passive shield to save your ADC. She also literally has 50 HP less than Sona at level 1, and lower armor and magic res? Like... how do you not insta die in lane?

The 500 AA range is terrible. She does less damage than other enchanters, she's squishier than other enchanters AND she's a worse enchanter than them anyways. All for some cool mechanic.

I've played her a bit now.

I think she doesn't need Flash shaco style. You have no real aggressive playmaking or catching ability, and you're inserts dead if caught in cc anyway, but you're so hyper mobile with W that basically any other time you want to flash you probably have a teammate to weave to or you're an idiot and shouldn't be there anyway. So having 2x combat summs helps your Lane a fair bit. She does suffer a bit from a hybrid thresh lantern /
Lee W syndrome though.

She also seems like she wants to support diving champions more than like an arc. Zoomies awesome for driving, her auto range isn't an issue when they actively trying to peel an irelia or something, and RWE is essentially free full team root. Only game I won out if eight was with a wukong jungle and despite personally feeding in Lane, and monkey only being marginally ahead, we kinda just 2v5d team fights.

I think she really needs a slight auto range increase or maybe the ability to proc passive with Q, and I think her Q damage should be increased drastically... But I think there is a high skill floor champ in there somewhere. Although I basically fed unscrupulously for 8 straight games, so what do I know. Lol.

How does she interact with stealth? Does she turn invisible too or is there just this innocent small kitty flowing towards you and then wham! you get one-shot by Eve? Follow Shen/Nocturne/TF?

Lol. They just buffed her base stats, added 30 HP to her passive shield, buffed her Q by 10%, hard buffed Q slow, buffed her E heal by 20%, buffed her Ult damage by 7% to 18%. Literally her entire kit.

To be honest, I don't think Yuumi is that complex. It might be a bit mechanically intense to play her properly, but its not intellectually difficult. I've seen tons of players play pretty smart, but if they clicked a bit wrong, they were now at 25% and burning all the pots at level 1.

I think Yuumi is hard to play and execute on, but I dont think its a mechanical thing. Its a different playstyle than normal enchanters the way Singed is different than other tanks, ya know? Or Ivern is different than other junglers.

She does weird shit in a way no one else really does and a lot of her power is invested into it. Probably take 20 to 50 games to really grasp her positioning and feel comfortable with it in all game situations for example. And her abilities interact and require her teammates to be played with full potential; her mobility relies on her teammates understanding and being mindful of her W and her best ability / play of enabling melee dive champs is something thats much easier with pro style comms. Idk, shes kinda like Singed mixed with Taric in that regard.

I disagree. Poke and run is basically the most common tactic in LOL. The problem I saw prepatch was that, unfortunately, that was her best tactic, and it also was mostly a losing tactic for her. She was basically Sona without Q and crappy range in lane. If her W disjointed autos or something like that, I'd agree she is hard, because dissapearing autos would be a great skill. But that is not a thing you can do.

After finally getting another game on her and realizing you can activate actives while attached to someone, I'm thinking glacial augment GLP/twinshadows Yuumi. The specific game I just played had myself and a master Yi, so eventually I just attached to him, twin shadows'ed and ulted. Even without glacial augment it worked alright, I can't imagine with a more pronounced slow

I'm building twin shadow second on her and it's pretty good i think. The only thing i'm sad is that ppl get mad when I pick her she is ok...

It definitely seems like the right way to go for me, as long as you have some hard engage some other lane. It makes team fights insane when you can slow people forever and then hold them in place for the rest of your team

Haven't tried her yet but oh dear she seem like so much fun. Rakan and Sona thrown into a blender taking some of their strengths and weaknesses to form this adorable kitty? She look kind of bonkers with divers. That Q spam together with Ezreal... I love it.

I still haven't seen her unbanned since release the only thing I've seen of her was on TFs stream where he ranted about her being broken on... Release day.

Yuumi is simultaneously an awful and broken champion. Useless by herself, so much cancer in certain comps. Her slows are massive, people running glacial augment on her because you literally cannot get away from something like Rengar/Sivir/Ezreal when she's stuck to them.

seems pretty snowbally if your team is ahead but feels like the champ is even more shit than it should be when behind

also was not fun finding out you can get hit mid w. makes it pretty meh for actually dodging spells

Considering how many busted and broken things that have went through I'd say a bit of both. That or their QA department is too busy playing Fortnite.

It's an is, mb. Think the answer was pretty obvious though. This is one of the unique interactions that are just so gimmicky and exploitable, least of all they are not intuitive for the opponents when you first see them. Wonder how many games have been won with this cheese.

Morde rework looks cool, I can understand why they would get rid of his ult. Personally, I think they did it because it was super buggy and nobody was ever going to be able to fix it.

I completely disagree, I love current Mord and am pretty unhappy with what they've done. Much rather see this be a new champion.

I should clarify, I like the actual kit and think it looks pretty sick and fun, I just hate that they did it to him

One Morde's newest rework I think I need to register my bias before commenting, as one should usually do on these things. I never really have played morde even before his first rework. And I certainly never got into this new one because I've never been interested in playing the AP/Melee bots as they just don't jive with me.

That said, there are a few things I would think are obvious to all coming in:

1. Ghost Dragon was always going to have to die. It was stupid at introduction.

2.I don't buy getting rid of ghost entirely, or their "explanation", because they still have Kat in the game, and Yi, and a bunch of teamfight snowballers. That said, the new ult's new mechanic isn't entirely bad in a vacuum. The problem probably will manifest during neutral objectives where it seems ridiculously strong if used on enemy junglers.

3. New Passive is probably better for balance.

4. New W is fine.

5. Q change is disappointing in light of the E change. His old E, IMO what an iconic part of the kit, and Q is trying to meld both together, but I think it ruins the old E, which was my favorite part of the old kit.

6. New E is lame, but he probably needed something like it to be relevant. I'd prefer this be Q, and we keep old E.

Commenting on this as a new champion as ofc I would advocate for original Morde. I have no fucking clue why his w is the most similar ability to his current as it’s clearly the most throw away. When I read a description of the ult 3rd hand I thought it was actually pretty smart to give him Leigon Commanded ult as his biggest problem is getting kited, the I saw the size of the arena lol. At least his new e should help depending how good it is.

Yeah I think not keeping E is a mistake. It's literally the only ability that's been kept so far.

His E just feels like darius and swain E. Not really special, and honestly, why does morde have to have a CC. The whole identity of the champ was a ton of damage without CC. Just keep the E, since at worse Morde still turns into this farming champ that runs at you.

Not every champ in the game needs a way to play against kite.

EDIT: Also death realm is a balance nightmare. I think neutrals should have a visible ghost form for balance reasons, because you can only not smite during suppress or silence. Morde ult is basically a 7 second smite silence, which is pretty bananas.

It seems like you can see the players in summoners rift in the death realm, I imagine the same is true for those in the death realm on summoners rift.



I'm not a morde player by any means, but I think removing the ghost is healthy for him. Weird having such a win more ult on an immobile champion. Probably healthier for the game.

Not every champ in the game needs a way to play against kite.

It is nigh impossible to balance a champion with no CC/mobility in the current state of the game, either they're useless or completely broken. The juggernaut patch was a good example of it, Morde was roasting bot lanes with very little counterplay, on the other hand once he got nerfed he became gutter trash.

I like Morde's new kit, I'll try him out once he's live. From the looks of it, he is still quite susceptible to high mobility champs which can kite him, and also doesn't look invincible in melee. A lot of themes in his kit have actually been retained, his abilities have just all become AoE. Not the biggest fan of a built in heal though, seems to look pretty lackluster.

I thought Yuumi winrate would improve more by now, but I guess it's harder to play in soloqueue? I still think the champion is super busted though. The biggest problem I've found is that it can be kind of hard to go and ward independently and finding time to ward while tethered can be challenging.

agree that warding is an issue for her. specially since you don't really want to buy boots or use flash on her.

A lot of Yuumi's play her like an afk champ, when her real power is being able to jump out whenever it's advantageous for her. You can poke, block skillshots, spread damage on things like Kai'Sa Q, she's quite a high skill cap champ, might actually be harder to master than Thresh/Pyke.

Except her Q, that's a 0 skill ability and I don't understand who thought it would be fun to play against.

It's pretty interesting how when you first see her you expect her to be an afk champ for people who cbf playing the game but to actually make her good she's gotta be played to such a high skill level. Considering she's got buffs coming on PBE....Damn. She'll probs see some play at LCS this week (assuming its hotfixed patch and she's playable which I think she should be) but if those buffs come through...p/b for sure.

Certainly doesn't need a buff in the high elo streams I watch, everyone scratching their heads about how to deal with Q poke. If you don't have lane control vs Yuumi, it almost always hits.
