He floated around last year for a few games. I could see him coming into the meta when teams pick like Sylas mid + Sion and like Kaisa or Varus.

How do Ez and Sion dodge another patch tho lol

If Riot nerfs Sion we'll be left with even more boring tanks or no tanks at all. We need another Sion-like rework of some old tank champion. Volibear?

Probably because Sion has been the goto tank for at least a year and then some.

Sion's engage and Q has a certain visceral satisfaction to them so I dont think he's that boring to watch compared to the other tanks, Maokai/Nautilus meta anyone?

I don't like Mao's new ult. Naut is always fun. And I think trying to make Mundo a niche anti-magic tank has a lot of potential.

Why did they buff Vi AP ratio, Trinity doesn't give AP anymore lmao.

Conquerer big nerf in the late game, the true damage and heal is still king though.

She's so weak early it's not even fun. Just got from a game against one, she got completely destroyed early to the point it was not even fun. We all wanted to see her at level 16, that was not fun either. I think she does way too much true damage considering the huge amount of cleave, I dont mind the other level 16 = gg characters like Kassadin since they actually have to make plays.

Yeah.. new kayle seems to have the most extreme power curve LoL has ever seen.

Idk, i think she needs some series adjustments. I don't think she can survive lane vs meta champs, and i don't think she can impact the map for the first 15 minutes enough to not auto lose from the jungle.

I could see her being passable in a duo lane as an adc with a strong jungler and support pick vs a weak lane, but likr, even then that feels gross.

Maybe in pro, but I think in SoloQ you just need to queue with your jungler. Have them pitch a tent for a few minutes and accelerate your spike until it doesn't matter how shit your early game is. Or at least that's what happened against me and it worked swimmingly.

Its not good enough to succeed the map early game for so long at all. I'd compare it to volibear, but she's less healthy. Its really slow.

What about her and Zilean? Especially in a less aggressive lane like vs Disadvantaged ADC and Kench? Idk. Seems like it should be possible somehow.

Idk, solo lane i think she just gets zoned and frozen on so easily, and then you have a jungler that can feast on this slow immobile squishy weak champ that is trying to stay in xp range.

I think the problem with putting her in a duo though is she's super level dependant, in addition to not having mobility.

Yasuo Irelia and a few others do fine because they have kill threat and good ways to farm without having to spend too much time in melee range.

Without kill threat and having to walk up to creeps to CS means she just gets straight bullied unless the enemy ADC and support can't threaten at all. Even tahm I think can threaten her unless her support can bully out the tahm and ADC.

For whatever reason, riot is 100% okay with a champion that has a way stronger laning phase than he should, and better scaling than 99% of the champions. Not only that, at the moment his items are pretty strong AND he has one of the most varied build paths of most champions. He has the diversity to pluck bruiser builds and AD Carry builds to abuse whatever's OP.

Wait, they kept positional MMR? LOL.

So they didn't actually fix anything i was mad about, they just gave us a prettier sticker? Autofill players still won't care about the game because it will still have negligible lp impacts.

Positional MMR doesn't work with the amount of position bleed that with autofill.

And it still means i can't play Fill if i want to climb ever. But we also eliminate the potential for positional ranked rewards which woulda been cool as hell. It's the worst compromise because we get all of the same inputs and worthiness, we just get the ouputs obfuscated.

Yes I don’t see how positional mmr can work without positional ranks? If you suck at say adc and get auto filled to adc either a) you face a +5 vs -20 lp game or b) you get +15 lp for just knowing how to right click vs. some plays once a month 4fun toddler. Neither scenario is ideal

On Reddit everyone is to busy sucking the guys dick who came up with position ranks so he doesn’t feel bad about having a paying job to ask any questions.

I guess at the very least people in promos who get autofilled will bear the risk of losing a game in promos if they troll. otherwise not much has changed really

Can anyone enlighten me when and on what champs its better to take PTA than Conquer? The latter looks just better on everything imo (talking about melee champs only)

PTA is a better burst rune. A lot of Renekton players play with PTA.

I mean, PTA procs at 3 autos while conqueror procs after 5 attacks so obviously if you are just gonna combo someone e.g vs a ranged champion (with something like jax renekton) then PTA is better

conqueror better vs tanks or melees where you are fighting for a longer time

obviously procced conqueror is better than PTA 8% damage but you won't get procced conqueror hits in many matchups

Conqueror is surprisingly hard to proc on ranged ADC for most part of the game, PTA is so much better when you want to win lane. Only Draven really wants to get it, and I've seen people run PTA for the exact reason stated above.

Kayle is such a dumpster fire now. Before 16 she's trash tier in most lanes, and after that she solo wins games. So ironic a champ like this gets released this season, when the meta is heavily skewed towards early win conditions. Only place I've seen her do pretty well was as a support, but you need to pick her into favorable matchups.

In soloq I've mostly been seeing her as a top lane who split pushes until somethting like trinity+rapidfire+IE and then comes to 1v9

for someone who's supposedly bad in lane I haven't been noticing her getting dumpstered at all, can usually push early then hold at tower and then later just farm up

Yeah, her design is so incredibly one dimensional, and what I would call not fun. Either you dumpster her or she dumpsters you. She could go 0/10 in the game, but if she makes it to lv 16, she's going to become a super hyper carry anyway. Carry comps have always been a thing, but it doesn't really matter if you get ahead with her early because she doesn't do anything???

She doesn't even dumpster you if things go well... I've played her a bit (around 50 games), and i had a few junglers put a ton of resources into me and get me ahead top lane. Like 4 kills and a 2 level lead. Idk... Even with a 2k gold lead and the level advantage you are still weak. You still can't really win fights.

And then you hit level 16 and you just kinda win. Or you dont and you just kinda lose. She is definitely a top, in my opinion. She feels good into tanks (sion / Mao / Cho / Poppy / Garen... I pooped all over a mundo one time but I only played the matchup once) and she does strangely well against Fiora. I think she kinda hard loses to lane bullies like Panth / Yas / Jayce / Riven. I had a Rango shit all over me too.

I think they need to swap her level 6 perk and her level 11 perk, would just allow you to smooth out her powercurve but keep the theme if at 6 you get range, and at 11 you get the flame. At which point you could nerf her level 16 a little bit, because honestly shes at a point right now where I feel like if you hit level 16 even if you are behind like 5k gold I also think she should get bonus on-hit damage to jungle creeps, but thats mostly just because I like the fantasy of her being a level 6 jungler... But that is probably not going to happen.

I like the fantasy, just... It is a little much compared to the rest of the roster. lol.

Have anyone tried a fairly tanky/defensive Kayle build to let her get through her shitty early game more smoothly? I've seen Kayles completely dumpstered early take over games when she hit 16 despite being several 1000 behind anyway.

I kinda want to try her as support for a Spellthief Ezreal too, maybe with a supporty top or mid that'll be fine with sacrificing farm/solo EXP later for her. She synergize quite well with Ardent Censer.

yea but if you are racing to 3 items buying a defensive item is only gonna slow things down you already have ult to keep you alive a bit longer lack of damage is the real issue

At which point you could nerf her level 16 a little bit, because honestly shes at a point right now where I feel like if you hit level 16 even if you are behind like 5k gold I also think she should get bonus on-hit damage to jungle creeps, but thats mostly just because I like the fantasy of her being a level 6 jungler... But that is probably not going to happen.

I like the fantasy, just... It is a little much compared to the rest of the roster. lol.

yeah I played Rumble into Kayle a couple times and it is super easy to bully her off cs and bait out ult and then kill
