Welcome to this patch's General Discussion thread for the League of Legends subforum. This thread is for discussion around League of Legends. Free feel to talk about anything LoL related here that does not already have its own thread. While posting standards tend to be rather lax in this thread, pointless spam will not be tolerated.

Additionally, the TL LoL Ten Commandments are available for you to reference if you have any questions about this subforum.

New champion looks interesting to be honest. No idea what his numbers are but well, I hope that's not another Caitlyn like style shit. Also wondering what is his AA range, since someone from Riot mentioned it's AVERAGE at most, so he'll be easy to zone out of lane.
And finally ranked reset, damn. I've struggled much this season but I've played like 50% games less in season before and still managed to end up in higher MMR, that's good.
New champion select where you can choose 2 roles you want to play is awesome as well, I hope that works out and people won't troll the shit out of you :<

There will always be the people who want to go smite/TP yi instalock regardless of what second role they picked. Nothing's really going to change aside from the fact that you can no longer afk through champ select.

New ranked mode is bad if you like to play more than 2 positions without playing all of them, and it doesn't allow you to switch your position depending on enemy first picks if you're high in the pick order anymore.
Nor even at all, since people who chose "fill" still get assigned a definite position.
Guess which category I'm in.
And considering how little trolling I had in my games because "hurr you stole my position" or last pick "mid or feed", this new ranked drafting isn't worth losing all hint in flexibility in my roles or drafting at all, but eh. Whatever.

New champ looks like someone was on drugs and just played mad libs with existing champion abilities.
Shen updates are interesting, I didn't really feel that his playstyle was boring and uninteractive, but I also liked BW TvT and S2 league of legends (rip Karthus/Anivia + Shyv vs Udyr oracles jungling)
The changes to Q and W definitely spice things up (and W is probably going to be super fucking broken) but I used to play a ton of shen before Ionic Spark was removed, and I don't know how I feel about playing a champion that projects a spectral penis around.

It makes you wonder how long it was taking in internal testing when they were developing this, before the patch went out a few patches ago to speed up matchmaking. But yeah mid/bottom is going to be a nightmare to queue for in master/challenger on NA. because about half the players are those two lanes, on the low end of estimates. it's probably closer to 65-70%. (specifically AD and mid players, but throw support in that and you probably hit 80%). The top of the ladder will probably be people will fill primary and their preferred lane secondary, with the one tricks being the only ones putting in a real primary lane.
