Man, insane how quickly it can all fall apart. Also kind of insane that no one on the team had the foresight to see how integral Hai was to Cloud 9's success.

Besides the fact I checked Hai's known accounts and he barely plays. I think this is a good move. Meteos is a New Englander and a god damn smoke show(no homo). But regardless of his pros, his shotcalling has been a bit subpar. Hai's not going to have a hard time against the competition in the LCS.

I'm cool with the change. Lets see what's gucci and if the change is positive. I can see an upside. Hai wasn't a pussy when it came to engaging. I mean, that was his job. He'd jump in, fuck some bitches up, die, then his team would clean up. He's also a good shotcaller. Sounds like a match made in heaven for a jungler.

He was the jungler for Clould 9 when they tried to qualify for the Spring Split of 2013 so ofc it's a match made in heaven for you

Jungle might not be as a mechanically challenging role compared to mid lane, but depending upon the champions he picks it can still be rough. This just might be a sort of, "watch/listen how Hai does shotcalling from jungle for a week or two, maybe try to mimic it Meteos" sort of thing, compared to how they seem to have just been winging it. Riot does record mic chat during game, right? So c9 can grab the recording, bring it back to their scrim room and study the footage by just lining up the gameplay w/ the audio, let them see what they did right/wrong?

considering how well they would do in team fights and securing objectives after having shitty opening lanes? I think people pretty much knew how well they worked as a unit and it's not hard to see how they fell off the wagon without good communication.

The thing is a team has to have a sense of direction. What direction if any have they had this split? Next to none.

Haven't totally been following league news, I thought Hai left because his hand was fucked up? Is that healed now?

It's just a question of time before another team acquires his rights. I doubt he'll be working behind the scenes at C9 for long.

From what I understand his hand isn't so fucked up that he can't play period, it's more that it hurts from time to time and he shouldn't form a long-term plans about playing because after few months/years more it could get even more fucked up.
Americans don't like to use unblockables, it is considered not honest. You press a button at the wrong time and hit the other person, you are random, not a top player. You DP Sim's far fierce, it is random and not honest.

C9's shotcalling seemed a lot better organized in that game vs. TL. They got outfought (it's not like TL is a bad team!), but you can tell Hai was back making the calls.

Yep. You can easily tell that having Hai back had an immediate effect. The best way I've seen someone describe Hai and his shotcalling is that hes like a taskmaster. When he makes a call he expects people to follow it and people do. C9 looked more like C9 that one game then they have all split and that was also the best game they played all split as well.

If Meteos comes back, which I get the feeling that he isn't, then he should be taking notes and be learning on what makes Hai such a good shotcaller.

Still, this whole situation makes me much less of a fan of Meteos with how he can just abandon his team like this. He wasn't the only one that was suffereing.

I dont think meteos will ever be a Hai-like shotcaller.

He just isn't that guy.

that and Hai is easily the best shotcaller in NALCS, you don't suddenly become the best at something after a couple months of starting to do it.

He is quite clearly the best shotcaller in any region ever.
