AP Kog too, but he got nerfed when he wasn't even getting any real play...very lame.
Now I play Jax, feels very strong to me, but just not that complex of a champion so I get bored. if you don't have any characters that you can play for more than 10 games you could just try playing fewer games per day. but otherwise you just have to grit through boredom for the sake of improvement. if you're getting bored its a huge hint that you're being lazy and not thinking about ways you could do things better blaming teammates for everything is another hint that your brain is being lazy and trying to come up with ways it doesnt have to analyze things its much easier to play random things and spend your time idly thinking about your new champs abilities and what you can do, its much harder to optimize what you are doing in every situation on a champ you know pretty well you dont have to tryhard and play to improve it takes a lot of energy just don't kid yourself that you are doing your best while you keep making excuses. Excuses that justify playing in a way that's the easiest and most comfortable for you which is just playing whatever you feel like there are plenty of people who spam 1 champ and never get better its not the most important thing at all but it does help you gain better information on your performance since it gives you a large memory base to self reference as for why anyone is recommending learn cait dont learn cait learn ashe don't learn ashe i can't understand that at all there are 2 criteria you need for playing a champion 1: is this champion fun/appealing to me 2: is this champion powerful (since you have a wider range of positive opportunities if the champion is more powerful) taking advice from other people on what champion to play its dumb since it's like recommending someone a colour most people already have a good view on strength roughly from whats being played a lot in lcs and it doesn't matter that much the lower you go anyway X champion is best to learn because of Y is just random reasoning someone made up on the spot. Unless they person has certified results from multiple people who found that learning a certain champion made them a better player, then their testimony is about as useful as my testimony that everyone should only play Udyr and Garen because playing non gapcloser melee only champions will grant you supreme wisdom and put you well on the path to achieving nirvana.
Optimizing is flat out less fun to me (and most people probably) than novelty. Coming up with cool new ideas/builds/strategies is more fun than trying to squeeze out 10 more CS at 20min, just like talking about spaceships is more fun than devoting your life to making heat resistant tiles for the space shuttle. Damn straight I'm being lazy, playing league is not even close to a priority on my tryhard scale. I certainly don't suck though, and I improve all the time, and I don't blame my team for anything. I mean, everyone here who isn't playing 12+hours a day in a teamhouse is being lazy. It's a game for us.

Pretty sure we're still in League of Mobility so don't think this actually matters. Shit like LB and Zed still ignore this. And they can still just walk out. Veigar still useless zzz. the first cast of LB distortion is a dash and does get stopped
a Rammus buff? A Rammus buff. Ok.

Holy shit they actually went through with that Athene's buff.

Yay infinite mana's back. Screw everyone who said they can just spam spells without worrying about mana with morello :<

I know that LB specifically does not, in fact, ignore this. There was a video of her dashing and stopping at the edge of event horizon. As for Zed, that's more a teleport than a dash so I dunno.

Blink is OP, pls nerf.
Leblanc can W out of it is she already has somewhere to jump back to.

They are basically trying to turn veigar into AP Nasus. You passively farm all game, then use some big teamfight CC and blow up whoever you can reach lategame.
ok I guess...doesn't sound very fun to me.

I meant the second cast anyways, half the spell is a blink. Also looking at the list lots of other shit - Kat and Liss are both popular zz. Basically lots of popular mids still fuck Veigar just as hard as if nothing changed. W still useless. Rito pls.

They want to align Veigar with what most people mistakenly took him as, which as you said, AP Nasus. It's awful.

thats exactly what veigar is wtf you stun and blow people up you do it better midgame but so does nasus

Dunno why people always thought Nasus was a lategame champ. That's like saying Irelia is a lategame champ because she's got more spells maxed and more items late.
|
so does everyone else though alaric pls....
i mean he scales in a solo context better than everyone else but the way adcs scale in teamfights is a problem so its sort of abstract why he's not good lategame and really simple why people think he's good lategame
alaric pls

The difference is this:
1. Old veigar farming minigame was largely a noob trap, it was better to bully and push opponents around. 2. Old veigar was an assassin. You'd make an picks, and try to snipe high value enemies.
New veigar is not an assassin. In the same way Nasus isn't an assassin, even if they can explode a carry, they can't reliably reach value targets. They are reliant on just laying down some soft teamfight CC (new event horizon is a soft CC), and doing as much damage to whatever they can.

You can check out his winrate over time, its pretty interesting.
http://lolbuilder.net/nasus
Starts at 55% at 20min, goes down all the way until 50min, then goes back up to 55% all the way at 60min. Too bad nobody plays him Diamond or above so there are too few long games for high ELO to look at.
http://lolbuilder.net/veigar
Veigar starts at 37% at 20 min and just goes up the longer the game goes on. Of course he just has an abysmal winrate currently.
|
The idea I implied is that people look at power on an absolute scale, rather than relatively to other champions, and with regards to particular spikes (even if Irelia had a Yi-like scaling into the late late game, her Triforce timing is such a huge spike that you'd play around it either way).

yay ryze buff, riot hates anyone having fun in this game

Most importantly look at that nice buff to AP Rammus. Clear all the waves!
srsly though, 300+1.0AP and a 40% slow for 3 seconds on a 6 second CD for 80 mana.
