Recently qualified LCS team H2K has announced the departure of their mid laner Febvien
Mid Laner Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten has parted ways with H2K. After over a year with the team, Fabian has decided that he wants to apply his trade elsewhere.
Fabian experienced a highly successful period during his time with the team, including 3 Challenger titles, 2 Black monster 1st place finishes and of course 1st place in the EU expansion tournament.
Febiven -
“It was a great experience to play in H2k. I enjoyed playing with everyone in the team and hanging out aside the game. But it’s time for me to move on. I am thrilled to start a new story and look for even better opportunities. I wish them best of luck in the LCS!”
Richard Wells, CEO of H2K -
“Aside from being an extremely talented individual, febi has always conducted himself incredibly well as a professional and always gave 100% in every game. We are immensely sad to see him leave as all the boys are great friends and this lineup was perhaps seen at the most talented up and coming team in the west. Whatever teams Febi plays on in the future, I know he will be a beast regardless of the players around him. He’s that good. Everyone at H2K wishes him the best as he continues on his journey to become one of the top Mid Laners in the world.”
As for Febiven’s replacement? Watch this space!

yup, fnatic Febiven confirmed. Does it mean Riot is going to fine fnatic for poaching or was it legal? Of course if rumours are true.

Iirc H2K said Febiven’s deal was fine. It was their attempts on odoamne and hjarnan that they complained as poaching. Still if the allegations of their attempt on those two are actually true then it's 100% fine worthy.

Febiven already left H2K temporarily after they lost to CW. I think he never really intended to play with H2K in the LCS, he just joined back up to get some experience and show off.
|
Well this is probably a change to the worse team? Sadly there isn't more information cause players tend to join a team with better chances, Maybe just money.

Hope they will get a great Replacement for him.

Febiven wasn't who Fnatic were accused of poaching.

I'm not that hopeful for the new Fnatic line-up, although I hope Febiven can retain his title as the king of tilt. Ryu is supposed to be going to h2k, hopefully he can show a good performance after he settles into the team.

Well they're gonna have to start somewhere. The Fnatic organization was being held hostage by its roster. I think the split was a good thing for both the players and the team since both sides had seemed disgruntled with one another over the past couple years.

Wonder how H2k are going to turn out after this, Febiven was definitely their best player and they played around him pretty well.

I think everyone saw this coming, I just hope they don't take Ryu. Godbro would be a better pick up for them as he has room to grow, in my opinion.

When is Riot going to take a page out of professional sports books and create a free agent signing period, trade guidelines/deadlines and standardized contract lengths. Establishing a more solid framework for moving players will benefit both the teams and players. Right now rosters are shuffling less than a month before the season starts and certain high profile teams are lacking players and coaches because Riot has not provided the framework for unhappy players to move from their teams with teams able to receive compensation. Right now Riot is making fine money but the teams being poached from get nothing.
|
Well obviously, Febiven is gonna make way more cash on FNATIC than H2k.

Has the rumour of Ryu joining H2k already been proven wrong?

100% this. I think this is obviously the next big step Riot have to take to legitimise League as a "sport". Adding roster locks and a transfer window of such would take away a lot of these problems. I really don't think its fair that hes left this close to the start of the season and put his former team in this position.

I really fear for H2K to be bottom of the bracket without Febiven.
