Tristana loses some of her AS scaling (and it was the highest one of marksmen's, along with Ashe's), R makes her safer/better at killing stuff.
E has potentially more damage, but only if you actually follow up your E with autoattacks (that's for you wonder), autoattacking after the E also makes W's damage stronger. Her tower-killing potential is improved (seriously, it's an AD scaling ability that damages towers, on Tristana). The idea is that she can't afk E-auto once in lane to drop people low until they get in kill range, she has to stick around longer. You also lose the healing reduction (something I don't think people picked up on, but Riot's talked a fair bit about how they'd like to be done with it "recently').

Her damage will be higher due to her E. If she loses range bonus it is not devastating.
Lucian's wording also made it sound like the E passive was only half as strong as it actually was.

I think the change makes E more interesting but I'm dissapointed about rend effect being removed from her kit, although to be fair people don't really seem to draft for that (besides me )

I know what you mean. I used to really enjoy the idea of mid trist against vlad in the older days.
AA-the-proc mechanic, focus more on resets, smooth out the power curve oh boy these are surely new and exciting mechanics with lots of strategic depth (remember how they tried to emphasize how you could R someone into a Gragas Q?)
Adding depth of micro to a game increases the skillcap so that you can see more outplays and skill stratification, but gimmicky mechanics don't actually add any depth. Lucian is a strong champion but how many times in OGN do you see the new Lucian mechanic really shine where someone is constantly resetting the E and dashing around crazy in a teamfight? The overall strategic push of the game toward encouraging group objectives/teamfights means you don't skirmish as much, and the addition of many reset mechanics means these fights are much more explosive.
Maybe the new super dash Lucian would've really shined back when you had Mundo and Trundle stare at each other for 30s in a teamfight with no one dying, but that doesn't happen anymore. Beyond Vayne, the last champion with a lot of room for micro was Blue Ezreal and that was Toxic and nerfed to the ground.

What the hell? Kalista is quite micro intensive, and the skill cap on micro for Cait and Corki is pretty high too. Furthermore, Blue Ezreal is literally stronger than it's ever been, and is as good as if not superior to "standard ADC items" on Ez.
The Nidalee and Kat skins are super cool but I feel like both those champs have an embarassment of riches when it comes to nice skins. The Jinx skin is beautiful and she needed one so good job riot. Unfortunately I don't play much of these three champs so I'll be passing on em. Might consider WK Trynd if they bring it back.
