So how viable is GP with the ult buffs?

I haven't played League in a couple months, but if I can use muh pirate again, I'm patching that shit 5 minutes ago.

Not sure I agree with that. He's maybe not the single strongest lategame champion but he's pretty damn strong. Who are some more impactful top laners?

I agree that his late game is one of the strongest (and it used to be even stronger) if he builds right and gets the stacks he needs.

Due to his infinite scaling on his Q, he can just amass all the tank items he needs and just bum-rush the carries, take barely any damage, and two hit anyone squishy

How is the adc scene looking?

Did the nerfs to Luc and Trist really do anything?
Did Ez's buff help at all?

Mana change on Lucian is going to hurt his laning power. Part of his laning prowess was the ability to dodge skillshots for free and get essentially a free double shot off when he wants to. If he's forced to use mana to dodge support skillshots or trade damage, that means less Qs and less trade damage coming back your way.

Pre-rework Sion was played a lot and was a good champion.
Nasus is played a lot and is a good champion.
Veigar is played a lot and is a good champion.

Yes, these champions are clearly OP and Riot has no idea what they're doing because once the game gets to 45 minutes you instantly lose if these guys are in the game.

Eh, at least Veigar can be assassinated, the other two get way to tanky

That was my assumption upon reading his changes in the patch notes, although not a huge hit (I still think he's tied for the best mid game adc), his early game will be a little bit weaker

Azir's spells feel a lot more reliable now, bugfixes seemed to have done some good.

He's still a little awkward and ungainly and I feel like he could still use some more fixes, but all in all it feels a LOT better.

The important part is the tank, imo. Difference in damage isn't huge. Hyper hits hard on its own.

To be fair, unless we're talking about AP Sion, every time I saw a Nasus or Sion lose it was because they got to lategame and thought they were literally a demigod and decided to 1v5.

I just have to get used to not allining with W Q auto E ignite ult, aiming the ult to hit twice instead of aiming it to block the best.

Like,

Before I was basically never able to do the Azir insec play because this bug or that bug would screw it up.

Then after not playing him for a couple weeks in my first game I did it about 3 times.

It's really interesting how much better it feels to play a champion when his spells actually do the things you tell them to do.

I don't really Like the insec play on azir. obviously there are times its okay, like shoving an out of position person into your team, but its god awful in a lot of situations because shoving the enemy away from your soldiers can cost you your life in 1v1 situations.

I don't mind it when you don't use the Q to get behind them though. but thats such a low range anyway.

he's still GP, though with some CDR, I could see him be a pretty mean splitpusher in lategame.

Having ult be more reliable for dueling/ganks is a decent boost to his top lane, but he still has his share of problems same as before.

Split push has always been the only legit way to play GP I thought?

Push all day, assist fights on other half of map with ult and/or TP

Before, he used to be a okay splitpusher in lategame. now he's probably decent in lategame. Not to mention with the new ult, he has the option of sticking with team, and using the ult to clear waves, since the wave clear will be more consistent.

In the current meta I still think I would take full build ryze and maybe Irelia/Mundo/ Kayle over Nasus in a plus 50 min game. Adcs like Lucian trist and corki along with the current common support pool all can deal with Nasus fairly easy. Nasus late game full build is still really scary but I think around 35-40 mins is were his powerspike hits after that he falls off a bit.

his wave clear isn't as good with the ult except where the creeps actually meet. his ult will fail to kill a wave walking underneath it unless they stop.
