Anyone have any suggestions, tips, ideas ect, ect. Hi nice to meet you. First of all, I don't recognize you but that's okay we are very welcoming and most likely I just don't remember you(it's okay I'm terrible with names) Having said that, I can't suggest nor agree with putting 1300$ on a credit card in hopes you'll turn into some big name. As has been the case for over a decade this thing we are doing is not really a money maker. Do it because you enjoy it and with the ability to continue to do so without financial support. That's just a plan for disaster as no one can say if you'll be worthwhile to watch in the first place let alone have an audience of the size to support even a meager living. I'm not trying to rain on your dreams and hopes but you do need to be realistic and understand it's a thing of passion and love for entertaining others so make sure you don't get in over your head following said dream. Lastly the key to viewership is as always being on at roughly the same time on the same days for a long period of time. Set a schedule and follow it. As a ravid twitch viewer if I know when someone is going to stream and I like what they are doing I'll try to make time. However I'm not going to try and catch every time someone decides they feel like streaming. Be polite, be yourself and if you can't be good at the game you play at least entertain the people watching. I did some old sc2 beta streaming(I'm sure if someone looked you might even find it) and I was just some crappy player but people did watch. Mostly because it was beta and I was someone who realized he'd never be super pro awesome but could at least entertain and interact.(have a way to read chat without stopping your gaming) Even if you are in an empty room just talk, make a few jokes and don't worry about viewers. Consider it practice for interacting with large chats. Let's see, don't advertise yourself in games unless it's brought up(and even then it's not a good idea in most cases) and you'll want to look into DDOS protection because sooner or later someones going to ddos you because you did something they don't like(most likely someone in chat you banned) Be aware of the stream delay. When ending a stream give it a minute say your closing statements before mistakenly cutting yourself off. That's all I can really think of for right now I mean besides partnering but that's something to consider only after you have a sizable viewerbase(relative to the game you are streaming) for a good amount of time. Good luck, and remember do it because you love it. + Show Spoiler +The frell? How did I get here, this isn't off topic.. Let's see, don't advertise yourself in games unless it's brought up(and even then it's not a good idea in most cases) and you'll want to look into DDOS protection because sooner or later someones going to ddos you because you did something they don't like(most likely someone in chat you banned)
I am curious about this why do you not reccomend this I thought it would be the easiest way to advertise my slef

Makes you look desperate (which I suppose all new streamers technically are) and I dunno it's kind of annoying. On the other hand it's bound to work here or there (watched a guy playing a game against Marmy and kicking his ass in lane literally switch on his stream to watch/talk to him on stream as they played), so do whatever works for you I suppose.

It works well in normals if your high elo. Got RL friend who got like 5 skins by getting followers through normal games and smurf games by posting his stream post game. He's d1, and completely dumpstered on enemy team.

Cant seem to make much of an impact playing toplane after laning phase...Advice?
I tend to win lane or at least go even, even when im ganked often / camped but when laning phase ends im really unsure what to do in the immediate time afterwards. What i normally do is try to keep exerting pressure top and hold my tower for as long as possible while roaming mid / TPing into fights. My understanding is that im denying them gold by holding tower for a long period (and i got theirs during laning) and they have to deal with me / the pushing creeps.
Once things progress into teamfighting and objectives i just feel really obsolete and like im not doing much. I try to keep busy farming / keeping lanes pushed and focusing squishies in fights but at the end of it all its like im doing nothing.
I tend to play shit like renek/ryze/garen/malph. (Also any recommendations on who to add to my champ pool? its outdated af)
Halp?

@Wave Desperate I b matey. It just seems like free advertising 9 people who have never heard of you now know about your stream. If they like you as a player and did well they might tune in. If none tunes in no harm done.
Also in regard to my finances I do have till April to pay off my amount with out any interest.. And I am still working tho it is spotty occasionally.
@PX I have already got the computer and also got a modem upgraded internet by like 30 bucks and a second monitor so my stream isn't on wierd aspect ratio (old monitor was 5:4) I am ok with dumbing some money into this. This was a huge inspiration in me attempting this.

Halp? Well do you snowball in lane? It doesn't seem like it. If you can make it so you can actually win lane so you can zone them completely and potentially even 1v2 when there jungler comes up as your feed and the opposing laner is low health.
I think garen and malp are weaker then other top laners atm. Gnar is strong (Build Brut, Tank and try to E on someones head as you turn and ult everyone in a wall in teamfights) Also I think Irelia is one of the stronger top lanes but I don't have much experience on her. BTW what rank are you it helps to have context for advice. Or you could be higher then me and you know all this stuff XD

I didn't realize you put money into this specifically looking to see some return... I dunno I would totally have advised against that---even if you DO become successful somehow you absolutely will not reach that point by April.

Eh, i guess "win harder" is one way of doing it, since thats basically your advice :p. Not really what im asking for though, Nobody goes legendary every game and the games where i do are not the ones im asking advice for :p
Other than my trash CS which im constantly trying to improve i cant really see what im doing wrong, i can only see that something is wrong.
Maybe someone could walk me through what they do in a game when they leave laning phase? I should probably go watch a shit-ton of streams/vods or something and really pay attention, i havent watched lol streams in years :O
Low gold btw since you asked

I dunno I would totally have advised against that---even if you DO become successful somehow you absolutely will not reach that point by April. Well I'm looking long term. To make it clear. My long term plan is to stream for a living. I am not counting on any income from league or streaming right. Also my idea to use my credit card came from a book by Suzie Orman Young Broke and Fabulous (It was a gift) She stated to make ends meet and to succeed in a goal use credit cards as a short term means to help yourself achieve your goal. I'm paraphasing but that is what i got out of it.
But regardless if I do even have to pay some interest if I can't pay off the amount by April. It will be worth it because at least I won't be feeling the gnawing of regret in the back of my mind.

If he dropped everything to do this, then yeah, bad idea. But, if it's just money on equipment, then at worst he's got a sweet gaming rig by the end of this experiment.

THIS GUY *Points thumbs at self*
Something that people in Gold dont do often enough is be mindful of dragon. If you can push your lane and walk down to drag before it spawns then you can set up your teammate to get a free drag and a good boost in gold. Then top lane maybe have to waste tp while yours up. Or maybe not have tp and you guys get free 4v5. Dragon is a HUGE objective try to keep it on the forefront of your mind
Another thing is replays. Watch all your replays and see at each point you died and how you could of played it better. Also set a bench mark of CS. Try to strive to it every game. 150 by 20 mins is a common one that is good but not overly optimistic. I remember in the BW days that if someone ever asked for help and didnt provide replays the thread would basically be shut down.
This would be very helpful in people telling you what you doing wrong. Because if they can't see your play they can only give generic advice that you have probably heard a thousand times.
