I don't notice mana problems past level 7 or so, and Nashors is the most damage of the CDR items.
But yes, he appears to have weird bugs where you press your buttons and they go on cooldown and nothing happens.
Also holy shit E start Yasuo just WRECKS him. Just all in at level 1, nothing Azir can do. Does Nashor damage apply to his soldiers? Thought spotlight said certain things don't like lich bane, red buff, etc. it doesn't, but the AS + AP + CDR are still stats he would like.

nashor passive doesnt apply. But nashor is 1 item and he goes from incredibly clunky to enjoyable.
And his skills dont fucking work like 10% of the time, and his ult sometimes doesnt knock people back. Riot is huge and doesnt do fucking anything and they still cant test champions before release properly.
And sometimes i feel like his soldiers attack random shit when they spawn, but that might be my fault. He is also irritating because when you cast something out of range, he will cast it anyways as if its a cone AE.
His skills are fun, but all the bugs and shit are irritating.

It's easier to control the soldiers if you A+move than if you right click, I think.
But yeah, super bugado. Regularly when I'm trying to E to a soldier I have to click it two or three times, and a couple times it's gone on cooldown but not cast at all or gone to the wrong soldier.

Rofl he just got disabled to fix bugs.
|
also the soldiers have a higher damage range than they can attack.
No idea if intentional

I never saw people just pick Thresh when they see Olaf, wait for him to choose a target while walking away, then Lantern the targeted squishy out. That's so intuitive though.
On September 17 2014 02:24 Ketara wrote: 2 - His controls seem really clunky/buggy. Multiple times I used Q but it didn't show going on cooldown/show the cooldown. When you W if you click outside his range he'll cast it at max range in that direction rather than walking to the spot and placing it, which multiple times made me actually miss a turret with it and cast a useless sand soldier next to the turret instead. Once I used E and it moved me to the wrong sand soldier, like totally in the opposite direction of where I was clicking. Prob won't change. It used to work that way with J4 but it easily fucked up your EQ combos so instead he now casts at max range when you target out of range, and it was a change massively asked for.
That Shurima cinematic was so meh. Welp. Both content and the graphics. + Show Spoiler +So what? Blood from one of his descendants on the sand is enough? Has Sivir the mercenary never bled? Her ancestors never bled on the sand either, for "millenia"? And when the ritual is supposed to recreate the city, proportions are pretty badly done when the sun sends its rays down then lights the exit as Sivir walks to Azir, with the huge chasm beneath them right after they appear to be very close to the surface. But mostly "plot devices! McGuffins!" all abound. Yeah, sure, make it pretty. But if the storytelling is bad it won't save much.

. both those things stood out to me also. the actual cast range on w is so short. took me a bit to get used to it.
conceptually, i see the point of his ult is to make plays. and thats cool.
but i would have preferred they went a different direction and made his ult either make his soldiers stronger or create a super soldier or something.

If by that you mean that the actual line AoE is larger than the circle that shows how far you can attack things, yes, that is intentional.

Didn't they say that he had bugs a few days ago and were going to wait a bit before releasing him? Guess they thought they'd fixed them all and released him anyway.

+ Show Spoiler +And to the person who is complaining about why Sivir was able to revive Azir and not one of her past descendents, do you think her ancestors were in the room where Xerath did his ritual with Azir, and were bleeding on what looked to be a ritual circle?
So the updated Shurima now sounds like it'll be how Riot can handwave away the IoW, because Azir basically says, "Shurima's back, you have 4 world powers to deal with now (the others being Demacia, Noxus and Ionia), agree to our demands otherwise we just wreck your shit."

yes its what i meant, its just a bit unintuitional why the soldiers would not attack up to their max damage range.
This reminds of of another of those riot words that they used a lot, burden of knowledge i think was it?

Na, just think of it as Lucian's Q: you target a range, but the attack pierces farther.

Same principle as Lucian Q....

3 games now and in every game he's just feeling incredibly buggy. You press buttons and your skills just don't happen or go in the wrong direction etc. i noticed the same thing. like 1 in 10 skill activations wont work correctly. I can't be certain because i have been getting random lag spikes the last few days, so part of the problem could be lag distorting what is actually happening. i only tried one build, morello's, lucidity, 5% cdr from masteries. after that core, his damage, and general potential for what he could do seemed strong. what have people who started with nashor's thought?
I've had this issue as well ever since the ascension patch, occasionally I'll try to use an ability and it wont go off at all until I realize it bugged out and do it again. Probably 3-4 times a game on average.
|
It's been well before the Ascension patch for me, I notice it most with Irelia because I don't mash W (since it's not really visible by itself, esp. in the middle of a fight with other sounds to cover its activation) and then I realise my target still has 200 HP when I get collapsed on and that W is off cd. Doesn't happen every game but still very regularly, and it was already the case around 2 months ago when I started playing less.

I thought this was just me being dumb but now that you mention it it's happened a lot with Irelia for me. I go in blow everything and start trading only to realize afterward the W didn't activate.

Seems like they disabled Azir because his ult could disable ennemy turrets LOL Guess they didn't see that in testing haha

Phreak demonstrates it pretty clearly in his video. If Phreak can make puns while talking bout it, the burden is not that high.

Wow EUW just died on me. I'm first pick, hear the sound, "retrieving data from server" with the full background pitch black.
Apparently it was punctual, didn't have trouble after restarting the game. Well, I have an issue, but listening to your 2nd pick and not banning Trist when you're purple side isn't client-related, I'm just a dumbass.

It's strange how everyone knows Azubu, everyone kinda knows that it's pretty good now, but still nobody watches it (including myself). Wonder if they'll ever get the numbers they want to. It's because Azubu's interface for finding streams sucks ass. Twitch's League streams section gives me rows of 5 and sorted by highest watchers. Azubu's highlights 5 streams at the top(4 of which are offline), and then gives me rows of 3 including offline.
The kicker? The dropdown menu doesn't even let me filter to just live streams.

Yea if you just pop in to Azubu to see what's on it's terrible but if you get direct links to what's showing than it's really good. Not sure why they haven't worked on their interface more.
