Try being a jungle main.. It's very easy to be "Given" that.
I'm a jungle main, I got one chat restriction when the system of Riot new chat ban policy went live and never get any warning/chat restriction after that.
Must be nice... I get multiple reports in 99% of my games. "He didn't gank my lane enough" "He ganked my lane too much" "He didn't give me every single blue of the game" "He died in his own jungle because 4 of the collapsed on him while I decided to stay in lane and get that last 3 cs" "He gave me some friendly advice which obviously makes sense but I'd rather just report him than listen"
Those aren't just every now and then... I see at least one of those in almost every single game.
Doesn't bother me, I just ignore it. What bothers me is then it goes to the tribunal and then you get people who just vote to punish on every single report they come across.
EDIT: Is this topic against the rules? Just seen on the OP that talking about the tribunal isn't allowed ...

Another one to add to the list, enemy mid and jungler are ganking top, go to push mid as the jungler, get reported by my midlaner for stealing xp mid.

I have a hard time understanding people complaining about how hard it is to not get chat restricted. I've never gotten it and it's not like I'm some shining example of good mannered game play. Just don't use obvious flamebait phrases (retarded, why?, stop feeding, etc.) or go for personal attacks and you're golden.
You can argue/trash talk without resorting to petty insults.
Stuff like 'nice try' when enemy blitz misses a hook or 'nah we should've baroned man' is not bannable. 'are you retarded? honest question' is.
I'm not even chat restricted nor complaining about it, do you by any chance have a reading disability? If not, try reading the posts again or don't bother responding . Only people I usually flame are those starting it, the kind of people that flame our adc 20minutes for picking ignite over heal or telling the enemy to report our top for feeding when he's just losing his lane.
Case in point. It's hilarious how you prove everyone else's points in here time and time again.
On August 27 2014 17:47 Osmoses wrote: Fuck I hate when people say "stop feeding". Nothing makes me want to intentionally feed like that comment, just to show them what feeding actually looks like.
What I hate even more is captain hindsights who feel the need to point out mistakes made after the fact, usually followed by an ellipsis.
If you are one of the people who do this, please know you're not helping :p
I usually just thank them at the end of the game for letting me know that one of my losses was with someone I don't regret losing with.
Yeah man, I should tolerate our toplaner losing his lane and flaming our adc for picking ignite over heal for 20minutes, I'd rather get reported and tell him to get the fuck out instead.
What are you trying to get at here? There's a shikyo qq thread to the left <-- where you can bitch at whatever the game throws at you. I use it a lot to vent as well. It's an excellent way to vent stress while not getting reported. Call them a retard or whatever in that thread but don't do it in game or bring it in this thread.
The thing I'm getting at is riots current system not working, the ranked game restriction wont work either and will be hilarious, just like the instant ban system when someone internationally feeds.

You could just do like the many people who ask for riot to open their case to the public and it will get removed if you didn't deserve it .
I have yet to see someone undeserving get chat restricted though.Pretty much everyone I know that flames has been chat restricted pretty much all the time.

Think really hard before doing it though.A lot of people got increased ban time after riot showed how their logs were actually bad.

I know someone already mentioned that this was a bug but what I didn't realize was that soldiers aren't supposed to be able to attack turrets AT ALL (according to Klein's twitter). So yeah, azir won't be able to do any crazy turret solo stuff.

A double passive seems bullshit too. That sun disc thing is like 100% unnecessary and just adds a whole new level of annoyance for someone who seems like they are going to be super annoying anyway.
Comparing the last 10 champions released to the first 10 released in 2012, there's only been one more recently. What exactly is the problem with displacements anyway?
Nothing is inherently wrong, but I'm starting to view it the same way %health is viewed. I'm just getting a bit tired of it.

That is totally reportable thing, at least for me, asking people out if they are retarded deserves to be punished. Also I have no idea how do you "ask in a nice way" about that.
This is something that I cannot understand in the LoL "community".
Why would you report a guy who tells you that you are a "retard" ? I'm not even talking about the case where the guy is "asking it in a nice way", which I think doesn't exist. Let's take the worst case : someone flames you all game long (stfu", "retard", "gtfo"). I genuinely wonder : why would you report that guy ? I have never reported someone for doing so.
The underlying question is : can't you put up with it ? Do you have to react to it ? Can't you just ignore the guy, or have fun reading his comments ?
I'll take a case that is similar to this ; no one would ever think about something like a report in such a case.
In Starcraft 2, therer were some very bad cases of rage. I think everyone of us is from SC2 so everyone can understand : did you ever use the "report" function on the guy who told you that you were a "worthless piece of shit" ? I don't remember that anyone did that. It was not a thing.
Why was it not a thing ? Because people put up with it. It's as simple as that. People knew that such behavior does not deserve a "serious" reaction. We just found it funny when it happened. Why is the same behavior considered something "serious", something that has to be punished, in LoL ? Why can't we have a good laugh at people when they are all rage ?
Even "in the street", although it is very rare, it can happen to be cursed at for whatever reason. Are you going to lose it and wish the guy who did that would be "punished" ? Personally I don't give a shit bout something I dont know cursing at me. There was this guy who told my sister she was a "bitch" because she was on his way and apparently he couldn't mmake two additional steps to walk around her. I was with her, in a street with no one else, significantly stronger than him. I could have "punished" him, nothhing would happen to me because you're not going to get reported to the police for just knocking someone down. At least not where I live. I could at leaast answer to him, tell him to get fucked or something. And I didn't do any of that because his behavior just doesn't deserve a reaction. It just is a bit stupid and it is laughable because he's obviously getting upset for no reason. He's punished enough already by being upset ; why would I want him to be knocked down in addition to that ?
Riot has invented a new reason for being "punished". It was a bad idea in the first place since it is certain that the constant threat of "being reported" doesn't help anyone to keep calm, and almost evry form of "flame" includes report threats. But I don't get why people think that you have to use these report buttons that Riot created for no reason. "Reporting" is straight up inferior to ignoring (and I'm not even talking about the "ignore" function, you can ignore people while seeing what they are writing), because when you report someone it means that you couldn't refrain from reacting to something that really doesn't deserve a reaction. And you didn't manage to just have a good laugh at something that really isn't that serious either.

makes sense tho. Would be very OP if untargettable minions could attack towers while he is outside tower range.
I like the rank restricted idea. Nothing's worse then losing a game because of some nut job raging and feeding all game then having to dodge cuz he lands on your team next game. Although it is nice when he lands on the other team and you get to hear his teammates complain in all chat about him.
The tribunal is down atm, cut the "90% accuracy punish spam", it isn't relevant (anymore). You don't get the "you've been reported recently" pop-up for the game you've just finished, but when you've been reported multiple times over multiple games recently. Riot wouldn't tell you "one of these 9 guys in your previous game reported you, he probably told you so in chat, go ahead and harass him."
About the "just get thicker skin", there are probably situations/stuff that irks them too, simply not in LoL. Well others can be aggravated by being insulted online, acting mighty about how you aren't as affected won't change much about the situation. On the other hand, Riot is a company. Remember? It's in their interest that people keep playing the game. Turns out a large part of the player base doesn't enjoy being cursed at, and it acts as a deterrent to them logging on more often, or at all. So. Do you expect Riot to sigh like you do, tell them they should get thicker skin, and berate them? Or do you expect Riot to try and make the environment more bearable so people play more?

I don't know maybe that's just how I am though.
I actually doesn't give a shit about what they write or what kind of abusive words they use to try to offense me but it takes literally 2-3 seconds to report someone, so why shouldn't I do this? I don't lose anything and there is high possibility that this guy will get a chat ban.
About the bolded text : I would react if someone called my sister/girlfriend a bitch without any reason at all. At least in my country > 75% people would react to those words (I'm not counting emo pussies).
Yes, I think it's reasonable to "punish" someone who treats you disrespectfully, in fact I think that is nothing short of a natural reflex. Of course I could, in theory, "put up with it", but to what end? What he is doing goes against societal conduct and tolerating it is just giving him a pass to keep doing it, to you or to the next person he meets..
