Caitlyn just happens to stomp most lanes hard enough that she can ignore her strategic quirks in solo queue. I also find that most people don't shoot enough Arrows. They save it to self-peel or are scared of missing or hitting the wrong target. If you don't hit the Arrow you're looking for, you just don't follow it. That's why it's so good; you can shoot it from far enough away that you don't have to commit if you don't get exactly the fight you wanted. Most other initiates put someone in range to get destroyed if they're wrong. | ||

Well, to be honest, if you miss an arrow in higher levels of play, you probably lose all map control for the length of the cooldown. Most teams also won't get caught out by it unless it's a coordinated 5 man out of vision kind of thing anyway. I don't think Ashe should be your initiation. Arrow is a get out of jail free card and should be used as such. The only times I would blow Arrow before a fight is if there's a huge mistake made by the enemy team like one person getting caught out, a fnatic brush that my team has vision on or if I have some huge burst combo followup from my team. Most teams will respect Arrow and that alone is a good reason to save it. If they don't, they probably die. Outside of lane I think the threat of Arrow is actually stronger than the Arrow itself. In lane it's a great gank setup though and using it liberally when a jungler is around is a good idea. | ||
