If you get into a teamfight 4v4/5v5 Jax is going to do little good. This. Go watch an OGN/LCS teamfight. Count the #of autoattacks that the melee champions get off. Preferably split it into two parts: During "teamfighting" and during "cleanup". Most get off 1-3 autos during the "fight", Jax's teamfight value is really as a cleanup guy, because he doesn't do much damage in them. I didn't know soloQ games are comparable to OGN/LCS.

But the lack of meaningful autoattack damage for melee champions translates fairly well. Perhaps you just look at your own replays if you want to?

It belongs in shikyo and you fucking know it. Stop whining about how your ADC missed some autos, or you had lag or how FH is shit. This has been happening for quite a while now. I think the Shikyo thread needs to be renamed.

But people needs to understand (especially in soloQ) that it offers no survivability beside a bit of heal from the active and the life steal (which is really not too much, by the way). If you want to splitpush 24/7, sure, I can sort of see it, but if you into a 5v5 teamfight, that BotRK does very little good for you. Also, even in a 1v1 situation I am not entirely convinced that BotRK is worth it. Jax will most likely win a straight up 1v1 duel against most champion anyway with just triforce. If you get into a teamfight 4v4/5v5 Jax is going to do little good. [/QUOTE] I was under the impression that jax built BORTK more because its buildup and strength in lane. Its kind of hard to build tri in lane.

That is what he is best at in "teamfights", but really his strength is taking objectives while the rest of the team delays. For teamfighting, if you can TP in late then clean up, your team is doing pretty good without you.

Indeed, even when Jax was OP for competitive he wasn't for soloQ because his pressure wasn't as easy to take advantage of and his weak levels were not hidden by early laneswaps. The perception that he is some op champ is a classic lol cognitive dissonance/bias with regard to late game champions where players are like "I was 50 cs ahead and he solo killed me." Or other things like that. In reality, jax has a surprisingly low solo queue win rate because split pushers like singed and trynd often have surprisingly high win rates. Also it probably has to do with the difference in how powerful tp is for cooperative play vs. Disorganized. So really never that great, even though jax is a great hero.
