Riot pls. it barely gives any information http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1447618012/210558905 I'm really liking it for seeing if my calls were right or not, if you see the peek of blue sides gold, that's where I said back then baron, if that happened the losses we took wouldn't have happened, and the game would've probably been closed out since we were way too far ahead to be touched.

My jungler of choice of Jarvan IV, and I'm always tempted to invade their jungle. However, I never end up invading as I don't think it's usually a good idea (Mostly because it's dangerous to do so, especially in SoloQ) and I was wondering if you guys could point me in the direction of where I can find a guide to invading or something. Because I have very little knowledge of how to invade. Although I'm guessing it has to do with having good vision in their jungle and knowing where their laners are. Or is invading over-rated and not worth the time? When you say invade, you mean invade at the first buff, or counterjungling?

Map awareness, vision, and wards are all roughly the same thing and the most important part of counterjungling. If you see the enemy jungler ganking a lane head on over to their jungle and make sure you've got a well placed ward and snag a camp. Use your knowledge w/ the ward + likely pathing to simply be where they're not (unless you're itching for a fight). You see her head toward her blue because you warded it but know her red is up too so you just run, snag that, and get out. And I think you mentioned you use Jarvan. He's very solid at it as he can exit the jungle over walls/trees using his E/Q combo so he's relatively safe at escaping if you think you're being collapsed upon.

Another old man memory, I once was a lv6 xin vs. a lv10 xj9 hecarim simply cuz I failed two ganks and xj9 took everything I had then sat mid to leech exp. Game was over in 10min and I didn't even die.

We lost that match to the astonishment of all. Moral of that story is that we permabanned nunu for the entirety of that patch.

Old man memory #2, trick2g once tried out for a team I scrimmed against and he had to play nocturne cuz I banned his kiddie pool of champs, he made some idiotic dive top that gave doubles to my top laner at 3min then proceeded to fail noct ult.

You should tell your lanes to push if you're invading as they lose less to react to you and the enemy team is less likely to help their jungler. If you do the invade bot lane the support will likely come though.

On July 10 2014 03:35 Frudgey wrote: Bah I meant counterjungling! Sorry for my misuse of terminology! If you want to counterjungle, then you should always buy wards and hp pot. A ward cost 75 gold and gives you 3 minutes of the enemy jungle. Even if you cannot find anybody, by taking 1 wraith or wolf camp, you already make half of the money back. Taking 2 wraith camp and you already have a profit. So with 1 ward, you have 3 minutes of vision, make money from maybe 3 camps at least, and chance to kill the enemy jungler. You always need to stock up hp pot. If you counterjungle the enemy, chances are you will have to encounter the enemy jungler, and both of you will make it out alive. It doesn't make sense if you both make it out alive, and you have to go all the way back, when the enemy jungler can go back and farm much faster than you since it's their side. You are wasting your time. Even when you are able to kill the enemy jungler, without hp pot, you're so low that it's risky to stay in their jungle to farm, and by the time you recall back to heal, the enemy jungler is already revived and go out to farm again. Stocking up hp pot will give you an edge in trade, and you still have enough hp to farm their jungle while the enemy jungler goes back to heal. If you plan to counterjungle, ultilize your items. For example with J4, you don't need to finish Spirit Stone, you need to get those long swords first, or maybe long sword and doran blade.

the Vampirism mastery, the one in the utility tree which gives +1% life steal & spell vamp with up to 3 points on it, which champ and in what scenario can use it? I just dont get it, it takes at least 8 points on utility to go for it and champs that go 21 on utility usually are not fighters that will need spell vamp & life steal.

It's better to have people pinning the enemy down and ready to come than to have people with you, because an invade is likely to last a bit. I remember our blue getting invaded once, so as blue side Vi I went to their blue after taking my red. They did a late invade so they wouldn't collapse in time (especially the jungler) and we had good match-ups for this (Orianna, Morgana and Lucian, their bot was something like Cait+Thresh). Despite my pings and chat Morgana stayed and tried to help me take blue. In return, Lucian ended up pushed in, Morgana stayed for too long, got caught whent hey collapsed and fed a kill, while Lucian technically laned alone till level 3. In that case, Morgana should have went to lane normally, but shoved as hard as she could (skilling W rather than Q), and then come to help me/protect from disruption, as the enemy lane would have to choose between missing farm/exp and trying to save their buff, despite having a shorter walk then our botlane (especially as purple side bot). Her autos didn't really sped the blue up and she ended up extremely behind while Lucian missed farm because of the pressure.

And also after the early game it doesn't really matter that you steal a big wrath or something, but early game if you do it right, you can screw over the other jungler hard. I miss the days when you can legit be lv7 vs. lv4 from counterjungling. Another old man memory, I once was a lv6 xin vs. a lv10 xj9 hecarim simply cuz I failed two ganks and xj9 took everything I had then sat mid to leech exp. Big wraith, big Wolf and the double Golems used to be worth big experience and like never respawn. If your team sucked and didn't help you kill a camp before your buff it used to set you behind a ton too. I miss being able to hit 6 before a solo Laner on Warwick and really fuck shit up. That was long time ago though. Back when people were afraid of the jungle, because if you didn't do it right you were fucked. I remember playing like Platinum level games with no junglers, ashe mid against AD TF. Lol. Meanwhile you'd have like AP support bot and then a double bruiser top lane.
