Super powerful effect, really long cooldown. Unbreakable is pretty OP atm in my opinion. It's Wind Wall that turns into a mini Alistar ult. It also has a ridiculously low cooldown. Plus, when combined with Braum's W, Braum's tankiness gets a bit ridiculous. Braum E needs some combination of a cd nerf and/or a % damage reduction nerf. Either that, or Riot needs to take a ton of power away from his other skills.
I think his W should only make his team tanky.
His shield already gives him huge tankiness

The problem with Wind Wall is that it introduced a brand new mechanics that this game had never seen before.

Thanks for the heads up.

Wind Wall and Unbreakable both seem very anti-Riot compared to what their actions in S2/S3 implied and also the "design principles" that they just laid out. They both completely negate the actions of opposing players for longer than Noct/Sivir/Morg/Kayle without a real way to interact with them (you can break Morg shield, you can CC Kayle targets). They are on par with Vlad's Troll Pool (and Riot considers pretty much all of Vlad's kit a design failure) and Fizz Troll Pole in terms of frustration for the other guy, but come with less drawbacks (last longer and/or lower CD and/or no resources).
From a personal viewpoint, they seem as garbage design as Force Field and Fungal. At least Stasis was extremely high cost to deploy and had a drawback to balance it's strength (I guess Lockdown and Maelstrom fall under this too).

Well yes, but compounding that is that they are on champs that want you to run at them and try to engage. It's like giving Ezreal Anivia's wall: "oh my you don't want to fight me with terrain around, lol."

Plus, Yasuo doesn't tend to build CDR except for the occassional ghostblade. Personally, I think Wind Wall's the better balanced of the two. I don't really think it's broken or needs to be nerfed.
Unbreakable, on the other hand, is just ridiculous. It's way way stronger than Wind Wall. The skill only has a 2 second downtime with max cdr, which Braum will almost always get plus it's mobile. Sure it doesn't negate everything, but it gives so much damage reduction it might as well do.
Design-wise I kinda like them. It's a refreshing new mechanic. If Riot's designers shy away from everything that has potential to be frustrating the game will get old and boring. On July 06 2014 12:36 cLutZ wrote: Well yes, but compounding that is that they are on champs that want you to run at them and try to engage. I think it's the other way around. Yasuo and Braum want to engage on you. Yasuo with his Q3-ult combo and Braum with his passive, Q, and ult. With Yasuo, you can bait out the wind wall then try to pick him off. Braum just dumb.
|
Yasuo just wants to fight in general, but since he has bad engage, he wants you to engage into an empowered q. Braum is similar, his weakness is supposed to be bad engage, the problem is he is super strong if you engage (unless they have like a 4 man dive team).

Man, playing Poppy into Akali is not fun at all.

Three times in the past few days I've tried to fiddle ult then flash but flashed too early and just cancelled my ult. I am bad.

Does nobody play late at night? When i'm drnnk I ju;st want to play with some TL'ers but shit shit frustrating. C'mon; thought you wer my dogs.

Both projectile blocking skills are dumb because they invalidate your options. You can't do anything against them, which goes against Riot's counterplay hard on, but they did it anyway. Both just sit there, fucking you over.
They are just so incredibly frustrating to play against and add no interesting interactions for the opposing team.
